Orico has stepped into the PC market with the launch of brand-new products, which include the OminiPlus mini PC. This compact computer comes with a design that's identical to the Apple Mac mini, and while it has a small 0.8-liter chassis, there's a decent selection of ports.
To be precise, the Orico OminiPlus has the following port configuration:
- 2x USB4
- 2x 10 Gbps USB Type-A
- 2x 480 Mbps USB Type-A
- 1x DisplayPort 1.4
- 1x HDMI 2.1
- 2x 2.5G Ethernet
- 1x 3.5 mm audio
The mini PC is powered by the Ryzen 5 7535HS, a Zen 3+ APU from the Rembrandt R lineup. It comes with the Radeon 660M iGPU, which is sufficient for low to moderate gaming and emulation. Thanks to the USB4 ports, the Orico OminiPlus can be connected to an eGPU for even better gaming performance (GMKtec AD-GP1 curr. $469.79 on Amazon).
While Orico hasn't offered a detailed spec sheet yet, the promo pictures show dual DDR5 SODIMM RAM slots and two M.2 PCIe slots for storage drives. The images also show a decently-equipped cooling setup, which should be able to keep the processor cool during heavy loads.
It's still unclear how many configurations Orico will offer for this mini PC, but on a Chinese marketplace JD, one config with 16 GB of RAM and 2 TB of storage is available to purchase. It costs CNY 3,799, around $534. The brand is expected to share more details and information about global availability soon.
