Oppo's under-display camera smartphone might arrive next week
Xiaomi and Oppo have recently unveiled their under-display cameras in two smartphone prototypes. Thanks to this approach, next-gen handsets will drop the notches and sliding selfie shooters, thus being able to deliver a streamlined full-screen design. Now, we hear that Oppo might unveil the first such smartphone next week.
According to a recent teaser image, Oppo will announce something that is "not only comprehensive" on June 26, during a special event that will take place at the MWC 2019 Shanghai Exhibition. This tech fair will kick off on June 26 and will close its doors on June 28. Its main areas of interest will be AI, IoT, 5G, and Big Data.
In addition to the next-gen smartphone with an under-display selfie shooter, Oppo is also expected to unveil various exclusive technologies, such as VOOC 4.0 fast charging, GameBoost 3.0, and more. These being said, we can only sit back and wait for the next teaser, since it would not be surprising at all to see more details being shared by Oppo until June 26.
Would you buy an early smartphone with an under-display camera or wait for this technology to be tested by others instead?
