OnePlus is all set to launch the much hyped OnePlus 9 series on March 23. In the run-up to the launch, the first Geekbench results of the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro have surfaced and the scores seem to be on par with what can be expected from a Snapdragon 888 SoC.

The OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro are listed as having model numbers LE2115 and LE2125, respectively on a "Lahaina" platform, which is the codename for the Snapdragon 888. Both phones seem to have performed pretty much identical in the benchmark with the OnePlus 9 (LE2115) scoring 1120 and 3630 points and the OnePlus 9 Pro (LE2125) achieving 1123 and 3416 points in single and multi-core, respectively.

The scores themselves do not present any surprise and seem to be in line with several other Snapdragon 888 devices including the Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus. The other information that is evident from this Geekbench listing is that we will definitely see 12 GB variants though 8 GB ones are possible as well.

We do know that OnePlus has tied-up with Swedish camera major Hasselblad for presumed improvements on both the hardware and software side of image processing. From what we know so far, the OnePlus 9 Pro will feature a 48 MP Sony IMX789 sensor and a 50 MP ultra-wide lens. It is not yet clear what the exact inputs from Hasselblad will be, but we do know that the OnePlus 9 series will feature a Hasselblad Pro mode in the camera app that is slated to allow 12-bit RAW processing and improved HDR video along with 4K 120 fps and 8K 30 fps capture.
