The third-generation Reno flagship is currently projected to come in 5G flavor. This is due to leaks hinting at a next-generation Snapdragon processor that has this connectivity on-chip. Furthermore, it may be joined in its series by at least 1 more phone with an equally 5G MediaTek SoC.

OPPO is currently linked to an upcoming phone alled the Reno3 Pro. It may be a third generation of its line, and, like some of its possible predecessors, come with 5G. However, this time around, it is thought to rock one of Qualcomm's new Snapdragon SoCs with integrated next-gen modems (rather than the need for a discrete chip, as for the majority of 2019) for these new bands.

This processor is rumored to be the Snapdragon 765G, an upcoming mid-ranger with performance-focused features such as its brand's next-gen Elite Gaming suite of software and 120Hz display support. Nevertheless, the "3 Pro" is also thought to have a 6.5-inch 90Hz display.

Furthermore, other putative Reno3 variants have joined the leak party. According to a Weibo tipster with a username translating to "Digital Chat Station", there will be at least 1 other phone of this name. Unlike its Pro analog, it will have a MediaTek SoC, albeit still one with 5G.

However, it is not thought to be Dimensity 1000, the Taiwanese chipmaker's new flagship contender. This SoC may have the model number MT6889, whereas the "Reno3" is said to have one called the MT6885. Digital Chat Station also claims that it has a 6.4-inch screen, a 64MP main camera and 30-watt charging. Therefore, should this rumor prove valid, it could be that Qualcomm is not the only OEM that can offer mid-range 5G next year.
