Nubia's CEO officially announces a launch date for the Z30 Pro
The Nubia Z series of smartphones is officially back in 2021, with a launch set for later in May of this year. The phone in question has been rumored to be called the Z30, although a Pro variant called is the only one to be confirmed as yet.
This announcement has come courtesy of ZTE CEO Ni Fei, who released it via Weibo alongside a lengthy statement concerning Nubia's commitment to carrying on a legacy of innovation, particularly as it relates to mobile photography.
Some of those remarks may have referenced the Z20, a 2019 flagship with a secondary display that took up most of its rear panel. This left the phone's main screen more edge-to-edge, as users could just take selfies using the one on the back instead.
Then again, the Z30 Pro is projected to ditch this unique feature in favor of another: an under-display selfie camera. According to the latest leaks, it will integrate into a quad-curved display, paired to a plain black chassis with quad rear cameras touted to contain a battery capable of top-end 120W charging.
Little else is known or speculated about the Z30 Pro's specs. Therefore, we may have to wait until May 20, 2021 to find out for sure.
