Xbox fans are eagerly awaiting for new official reveals for the upcoming Xbox Series X console and it looks like the next preview will focus more on the next gen game titles scheduled for the late 2020 launch. The information was shared by Xbox boss Phil Spencer via a tweet post.
Spencer mentions that future previews should include more transparent and authentic information, and “the next step is not too much of a wait (games)”. Rumor has it that Microsoft intends to unveil more Xbox Series X details via two major streamed events. The one Spencer is referring to in his latest tweet is probably the early May event, but Microsoft also plans to reveal all the information that was supposed to be presented at this year’s E3 event in a June stream.
The upcoming game preview stream should show off more footage from Halo Infinite, and some of the other expected titles that could make an appearance include a new Fable game, a Forza Motorsport reboot, the mandatory big Japanese IP feature, plus a new game from Obsidian Entertainment. Microsoft is already overseeing 15 different game developing companies, so the gaming portfolio for the next gen console will surely be stuffed with enough new titles. Still, these will not really be true exclusives, since Microsoft is bringing most Xbox games to Windows 10 users via the ultimate game pass through the unified gaming hub.
For the June stream, Microsoft is expected to unveil more info regarding the lower-priced Xbox Series S console.
Reviewed plans yesterday for continued sharing through launch. Team is doing great work and adapting. I've never been more excited about Xbox plans. We've heard you, you want transparency/authenticity. We plan to keep showing that way, next step is not too much of a wait (games)
