New flagship OnePlus phone doubles down on battery and lag-free gaming

OnePlus is set to launch the Ace 6 Ultra in China on April 28, 2026. So far, the brand has confirmed a lot about the gaming phone, and it has even showcased an accessory for the smartphone that can convert into an FPS gaming handheld.
Now, more specs of the phone have been revealed, and it seems OnePlus is doubling down on battery and connectivity. The Ace 6 Ultra is now confirmed to feature an 8,600mAh battery, slightly larger than the one powering the Redmi K90 Max, and is said to deliver up to 7 hours of gaming.
It's paired with 120W fast charging, and OnePlus claims the gaming phone can offer up to 2 hours of game time with just 10 minutes of charging. There's, however, no mention of bypass charging in this specific teaser, but it's worth noting that competing phones like the Redmi K90 Max and RedMagic 11 Pro have support for this gaming-focused feature.
There's the "Glacier Battery" chipset to ensure high power efficiency. OnePlus notes that this chip allows smooth performance even at low battery levels. The company further shares that the Ace 6 Ultra will come with the G2 Pro gaming chip. It promises enhanced connectivity with "powerful" signal reception, lower WiFi latency, and better low-network handling.
With another round of teasers, the camera highlights of this gaming phone have been revealed. The Ace 6 Ultra will sport a 1/1.55-inch primary sensor on the back. This is a 50MP camera with support for OIS. While OnePlus didn't detail the secondary sensor, it has confirmed that the camera setup will be paired with a flagship ISP from Oppo.
The shared samples suggest that the phone can capture well-detailed shots, especially in daylight, but as always, these samples should be taken with a grain of salt. Other newly shared details include a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, dual speakers, and IP66/68/69/69K ratings. More could be revealed before the April 28 launch event.
