New accessory listings appear to confirm 2019 iPhone names
The 2019 generation of iPhones may not be released for some time. However, a bevy of leaks and rumors may have already turned them into something of a harsh reality for many. They suggest that Apple has compromized somewhat on its normal slick esthetics in order to accomodate new frontiers in the multi-camera threads.
Those heaving sighs at such prospects may be equally impressed with the names currently projected for these typically sought-after phones. The latest rumors suggest that they will be known as the iPhone 11 - or, possibly, iPhone XI - line, with probable optional add-ons for some of the estimated 3 variants to come this year.
The French-language tech blog iPhoneSoft claims to have found an extensive leak that spells out these names in more detail, while matching accessories such as screen protectors to each individual upcoming SKU. They come in the form of spreadsheets that include corresponding images, EANs and descriptions.
Some images associated with this new leak refers to an iPhone 11, and also directly links it to the iPhone XR. This new leak also clearly specifies an iPhone 11 Pro and an iPhone 11 Pro Max. They are to succeed the XS and XS Max respectively.
Therefore, this leak appears to confirm the 'iPhone 11' theory beyond a doubt. On the other hand, it may also be mere guesswork by the case-makers as place-holders for the present. Then again, iPhoneSoft also claims that this company, ESR, contacted it with a request to blur the prices to be charged out of the alleged leaked documents at least.
