Casio has quietly listed a new Oceanus Manta model, the OCW-S6000PB-7AJF, and it is scheduled to release in June 2025. The watch is priced at ¥385,000 (~$2,700) and limited to 600 units. It sticks to a familiar Manta formula but adds a few noticeable upgrades.
This model follows the OCW-S6000 design line - thin, lightweight, and focused on balance. The dial uses a silver-white base with dark blue subdials and a 12 o’clock index that adds some nice vertical contrast. The main highlight is the sapphire bezel, cut with 24 facets on top and 48 on the sides, which helps the watch catch and reflect light from different angles. It's more about shimmer than shine.
Like a big chunk of the Oceanus lineup, it runs on Tough Solar and supports Multi-Band 6 radio control. There’s Bluetooth sync through the Casio Watches app for world time, self-correction, and a phone finder. The titanium case and bracelet should keep the watch light on the wrist, and the water resistance is rated at 10 bar.
The subdials offer day, date, and 24-hour tracking - nothing out of the ordinary, but neatly arranged. Casio has also used platinum vapor deposition along the outer bezel to adjust the way it reflects light in changing conditions.
All in all, this release isn’t trying to break new ground. But it should be of great interest to Oceanus fans who prefer clean, detailed builds that wear well in daily use. It’s subtle, quite well-finished, and should look better in motion than it does in photos.
