While most Chromebook models are built for budget-oriented users, OEMs like Acer also provide more premium builds like the latest Chromebook 13 and Spin 13 models. Acer collaborated with Wacom on these two models in order to increase the accuracy in tablet mode.
The hardware configurations do not particularly scream premium, as both models may come powered by Intel’s gen 8 Core i3 / Core i5 CPUs coupled with up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of storage (only for Spin 13). Nevertheless, these two new models feature 13.5-inch IPS screen with 2256 x 1504 resolution and an all-aluminum chassis, plus a more precise Wacom stylus, which allows for increased accuracy. The Spin 13 also features a 360-degree hinge. Other features include USB-C ports with fast charge option, 10-hour battery life and a Gorilla Glass trackpad.
These two models will be available in September with prices starting at US$649. Here is a mode detailed list of prices:
