The Bendy franchise has thrived on eerie corridors and ink-laced shadows since Bendy and the Ink Machine (2017), with its mascot horror charm. Now, Bendy: Lone Wolf has officially debuted on Steam. The game swaps first-person scares for top-down, roguelike gameplay, and centers on Boris the Wolf’s dash through the halls of Joey Drew Studios.
Initially introduced as an extensive retelling of Boris and the Dark Survival (2020), Lone Wolf grew so much that it became its own game - but a lot of players still think it’s an upgraded version of Boris and the Dark Survival. In the developer’s words, it features all-new combat, challenges, extras, and "an actual ending." Fans of the older game get Lone Wolf on Steam for free if they own Boris and the Dark Survival.
Bendy: Lone Wolf hit Steam on August 15, 2025, on PC via Steam, as well as PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and mobile platforms. A physical edition will launch for PS5 and Switch on October 24, courtesy of Silver Lining Interactive.
As Boris, you go through procedurally generated corridors filled with ink-creep monsters from the Dark Puddles. You'll scavenge supplies, sprout traps, and strike when the timing’s right. The Ink Demon will force you into tense chases or hideouts when its heartbeat gets closer to you.
On Steam, Bendy: Lone Wolf is listed at $19.99. It is also priced equivalently across console storefronts, with minor regional adjustments. Considering the free upgrade for owners of Boris and the Dark Survival (as mentioned earlier), early fans are effectively being rewarded for their loyalty, while newcomers are being asked for what is essentially an entry-to-mid-level price. The developers also recommend playing this game with a controller.
