It seems that the free game section on Steam has seen another expansion. X user @SteamGamesPC has spotted yet another batch of newly released free games, but it appears that not many of them have gained much traction. As for the ones that were tried by a good number of players and have also received good ratings, they are as follows:
- Gotchi Guardians - Tower Defense - released on July 30, this is a multiplayer roguelite tower defense game that currently features a "Mostly Positive" player rating.
- Shades of Rayna - an early access ARPG that's said to offer endless gameplay content. This free game was released on Steam on July 29, and it's currently rated as "Mostly Positive" by players.
- Sherlock: Hidden Object & Match-3 Mystery - a casual free game that blends elements from hidden object games with match-3 sessions. The title made its Steam debut on July 28 and currently features a "Mostly Positive" player rating.
- Spores of Fortune - described as a mushroom-picking simulator that's all about learning and selling mushrooms. It launched on Steam on August 1 and currently features a "Positive" player rating.
- Swing Into Zero-G: Space Parkour Race - a multiplayer racing title that's set in the vastness of space. This freebie was released on August 3, and on Steam, it sports a "Very Positive" player rating.
- The Man in the Park - described as a very short horror game that became available on July 30. It currently features as a "Positive" player rating.
- Once Upon a Galaxy - said to be a card battler with strategic depth. This free game became available on Steam on July 30, and it currently sports a "Very Positive" rating that's based on 173 player reviews.
- Nora and Frank - a retro-inspired free game that's set in a post-apocalyptic world. This action title launched on August 1 and currently sports a "Positive" player rating on Steam.
- Phantom Feline - described as a Game Boy-inspired puzzle game with retro-inspired sound effects and visuals. This freebie became available on Steam on August 1, and the title currently sports a "Positive" player rating.
- Ninja Party - another early access game, but this one is categorized as a parkour action title. It launched on Steam on July 31 and currently flaunts a "Very Positive" player rating.
- Whimsical Artefacts - categorized as a co-op free game with a heavy focus on customization via drawing. This freebie launched on Steam on July 31, and it currently has a "Mostly Positive" rating.
- Maze - a short game that puts players in a gigantic yet mysterious structure. This puzzle title launched on Steam on July 21, and the current player rating is "Positive."
- Bartholomew.exe - said to be a short FPS title with two environmental shifts. This action-horror game became available on July 22, and it currently flaunts a "Positive" player rating.
