CES 2022 | MSI unveils upgraded Crosshair 15 and new Crosshair 15 Rainbow Six Extraction Edition gaming laptops
Today, MSI announced the latest iteration of the Crosshair 15 midrange gaming laptop. Additionally, the company unveiled the Crosshair 15 Rainbow Six Extraction Edition, a model made in collaboration with Ubisoft.
The new Crosshair 15 opts for Intel’s 12th Gen Alder Lake CPUs. Gamers can choose either an Intel Core i7-12700H or Core i9-12900H as the processor. GPU options include either an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060, RTX 3070, or RTX 3070 Ti. The laptop can be configured with either 16 or 32 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM and either a 512 GB or 1 TB PCIe Gen 4x4 NVMe SSD.
The main focus of the new Crosshair 15 is the display. The base model has a 15.6-inch Full HD (1920x1080) 144 Hz IPS screen that MSI says covers 45% of the NTSC color gamut. This can be upgraded to a Full-HD 360 Hz panel that almost completely covers the sRGB gamut. This screen option is only available in the top-tier model, which also includes a Core i9-12900H and RTX 3070 Ti.
Other specifications carry over from last year’s Crosshair 15, including I/O and wireless connectivity.
The Crosshair 15 Rainbow Six Extraction Edition can be configured with the hardware enumerated above. This variant features aesthetics promoting the upcoming Rainbow Six Extraction, which is scheduled to arrive from Ubisoft later this month.
The MSI Crosshair 15 starts at US$1599 and will ship on February 1.
