14" ultraportable gaming laptop comes with GeForce GTX 760M graphics and Haswell processing.

In a press release today, MSI officially launched their lightest gaming notebook yet, the GE40 2OC. First unveiled at Computex earlier this month, the device appears to be MSI's answer to Alienware's recently updated lineup.

With a 14" display and a resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels, the GE40 features an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760M, which is capable of powering up to 3 monitors. MSI is also offering the device in two models, with the base configuration packing a Haswell Core i7-4700MQ, 8GB of RAM and a 750GB HDD. On the other hand, for just $100 extra, users can add a 128GB SSD, an optical drive and opt for an i7-4702MQ CPU instead.

Both devices are on par with regards to the rest of the specs, as a 6-cell battery, HDMI, USB 3.0 and the usual communication modules are included in the 4.4lb package. The GE40 is also adorned by MSI's "dragon eyes" on the lid, and is available starting at $1299 for the base model.
