The 48-inch LG B5 OLED TV is now on sale at Best Buy at an incredible discount. Currently retailing below $600, the LG B5 48-inch TV is one of the best entry-level OLED TVs on the market, as it boasts features like 120 Hz refresh rate, inky deep blacks, and Variable Refresh Rate.

The LG B5 OLED was launched back in May 2025, as an entry-level OLED TV that brings much-loved features like inky deep blacks without breaking the bank. While LG has since introduced a new type of OLED panel, OLED SE, at CES 2026, the LG B5 remains the company’s primary affordable OLED TV.

This means that if you want a wallet-friendly OLED TV, the LG B5 should be on your list. Best Buy is trying to ensure this, as it is now offering the 48-inch LG B5 OLED for just $549.99 for a limited time. This is a discount of $750 or 51% compared to the $1,299.99 list price. The “Flash Deal” is set to expire on January 28. So, you only have a few days to buy the LG B5 OLED at the heavily discounted price.

Specs-wise, the LG B5 OLED TV features a 4K WOLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) support, and the company's in-house α8 AI Processor 4K Gen2 image processor. The TV also supports Dolby Vision and HDR10. Other important details include four HDMI 2.1 ports which allow you to connect multiple gaming consoles/PCs with full 4K@120 Hz support.

LG B5 OLED is highly rated

According to Rtings’ review of the 77-inch version, the LG B5 OLED TV excels when it comes to media streaming and gaming. This is due to the TV’s infinite contrast, excellent color reproduction, wide viewing angles, 120 Hz refresh rate, and VRR. The LG B5 OLED also has low input lag and an impressive response time.

Rtings’ only major complaints about the LG B5 OLED were the reflection handling and the low SDR/HDR brightness. The LG B5 not impressing with high brightness is expected, as OLED TVs usually suffer from lower brightness compared to Mini LED TVs. So, if you want an affordable TV for a brightly lit room, you might want to consider a Mini LED TV from brands like TCL. For instance, the TCL QM7K gets much brighter than the LG B5 OLED and can currently be had for around $699 in the 55-inch version on Amazon.

All in all, if you want an OLED TV that is excellent for media watching and gaming without being overly expensive, the 48-inch LG B5 OLED on sale at Best Buy is an easy recommendation.
