Lenovo unveils Tab P11 Pro and Tab M10 HD Gen 2 Android tablets
Lenovo announced two new Android tablets today, one for power users and one for kids and their families.
The Tab P11 Pro is Lenovo’s “most powerful consumer Android tablet yet,” according to the company. The tablet features a large 11.5-inch 2560 x 1600 OLED display that supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision. The screen is flanked by relatively thin bezels measuring 6.9 mm. The device is a media monster thanks to its screen and the four JBL speakers with Dolby Atmos sound software.
Powering the P11 Pro is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G (2x ARM Cortex-A76 @ 2.2 GHz, 6x ARM Cortex-A55 @ 1.8 GHz). The Snapdragon 730G features an Adreno 618 graphics chip that is clocked a bit higher than the one on the standard Snapdragon 730. The 7.7 mm thin tablet supports an optional keyboard and stylus and comes preloaded with Microsoft Office for Android. Users can also log into a profile by using the built-in front-facing cameras for facial recognition. Lenovo claims the battery lasts up to 15 hours.
The Tab M10 HD Gen 2 is a family-oriented Android tablet that also caters to kids. The tablet comes preloaded with Google’s Kids Space, which is a kid-friendly interface for Android (similar to the software on Amazon’s Fire Kids Edition tablets). The device features a 10.1-inch HD TDDI wide-angle display and two speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos. The CPU is an octa-core MediaTek P22T (4x cores @ 2.3 GHz, 4x cores @ 1.8 GHz). The Tab 10 also includes a built-in blue light filter to take the strain of users’ eyes. It can be configured with either the Google Assistant or with Amazon's Alexa.
The Tab P11 Pro will be available in November 2020 starting at €699. The Tab M10 HD Gen 2 starts at €159 and will be available in September 2020.
