Lenovo’s Panther Lake-powered iMac rival spotted online with eye-watering price tag

Lenovo showed off many quirky products at CES 2026, including a rollable laptop. The ThinkCentre X AIO Aura Edition could technically be classified as one of them, on account of its unique screen resolution. Its spec sheet suggests Lenovo wants to position it as a competitor to Apple's iMac. Lenovo didn't reveal its price at CES, but we now have an idea thanks to a listing on Lenovo's Japanese website (via GDM/Videocardz).
It has been listed for ¥792,000 with local taxes included, which translates to about USD 4,980 as of April 21. That's nearly twice as costly as a fully tricked-out iMac with an Apple M4, 24 GB of RAM, 2 TB of storage, and 4 Thunderbolt ports ($2,500).To make matters worse, Lenovo offers only 32 GB of LPDDR5x memory with this configuration, even though the AIO was touted to support 64 GB at launch.
Interestingly, the website doesn't state how much storage the PC will ship with. The ThinkCentre X AIO Aura Edition comes with a 27.6-inch IPS LCD panel with a unique resolution of 2,560 x 2,880 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:18. One can rotate the screen by 90° to accommodate applications that need unconventional aspect ratios. Underneath all that lies an Intel Core Ultra X7 358H Panther Lake CPU, complete with a 12 Xe3 Arc iGPU.
For now, the ThinkCentre X AIO Aura Edition has only been listed in Japan. Ideally, it should land in other locales soon, but there's an equally likely chance of delays given how scarce memory is.
