Lenovo has confirmed that it will be offering one of its latest 15-inch laptops with a 120 Hz OLED display and up to 24 GB of RAM. Already available from $799 in the US, the IdeaPad Vibe 15Q8X12 currently complements its Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset with a 60 Hz IPS panel and 8 GB or 16 GB of RAM.

Earlier this month, Lenovo released the IdeaPad Vibe 15Q8X12 globally. Starting at $799 in the US, the new 15-inch laptop combines the Snapdragon X1 X1P-26-100 we reviewed in the IdeaPad Slim 3 15Q8X10 (curr. $599 on Amazon) with 8 GB or 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB or 512 GB of storage.

To coincide with global shipments, Lenovo has added the IdeaPad Vibe 15Q8X12 to its Product Specifications Reference (PSREF) website. In the process, the company has revealed additional hardware details that were not mentioned upon release, nor during the laptop's IFA 2026 debut.

For example, it has expanded upon the display options mentioned in September. Currently, the IdeaPad Vibe 15Q8X12 can only be configured with a 1200p, 60 Hz and non-touch IPS display. For reference, this panel also offers 400 nits peak brightness and 45% NTSC colour space coverage.

By contrast, Lenovo's other IPS display jumps to 100% sRGB colour space coverage and a 120 Hz refresh rate. This touchscreen panel retains a 1,920 x 1,200-pixel output, with 400 nits peak brightness and a 1,200:1 contrast ratio.

Meanwhile, Lenovo's sole OLED option boasts 500 nits peak brightness and a theoretically infinite contrast ratio. Although it loses touchscreen support, this OLED panel outputs at 2,160 x 1,352 pixels with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 100% DCI-P3 colour space coverage.

Also, the IdeaPad Vibe 15Q8X12 will eventually feature up to a 1 TB SSD, with a second M.2 2242 slot on hand for adding even more storage. Moreover, the 15-inch laptop will support up to 24 GB of LPDDR5X-8448 RAM running in dual-channel model. Unfortunately, Lenovo has not confirmed when these additional configuration options will be available to purchase.
