Lenovo Legion 7 15IMH05-81YT000UGE
Lenovo has dropped its latest venture onto the market, the Lenovo Legion 7 15IMH05-81YT000UGE. This laptop comes with a 15.6-inch screen. It has been equipped with an IPS panel carrying a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. As for the camera, this laptop comes with a 720p webcam for the user’s convenience. It should be noted that this device is in the MSI GS65 Stealth range. However, unlike the GS65, this Legion 7 model makes less noise than the Saturn V rocket powering the Apollo missions, and manages to provide very respectable frequencies and temperatures.
In terms of its battery, this notebook has been equipped with an 80Wh Lithium-Polymer battery, and the longevity of the battery typically depends on the hours of usage and the intensity of usage, which vary from user to user. Typically, the battery can last for about 6 hours with gaming and about 8 hours with normal day-to-day usage. As for the performance, the Lenovo Legion 7 15IMH05-81YT000UGE has been equipped with an Intel Core i7-10750H processor. This is a high-end processor for laptops with six cores based on the Comet-Lake architecture. The CPU should run fine even with demanding applications. The graphic adapter for this model is the NVIDIA GeForce RTX2080 Super Max-Q, which is the power-saving variant of the mobile GeForce RTX2080 Super. This adapter allows the latest and most demanding games to be played in high resolutions.
In terms of its connectivity, this laptop has been equipped with three USB 3.0/3.1 Gen-1 ports. It also has a single Thunderbolt, HDMI and a DisplayPort respectively. In addition, there is a 3.5mm headphone jack for users to attach their wired headphones/earphones. This caters for a much better user experience while listening to their favourite music or movie. While there are many out there who prefer wired headphones, some are not really fans of using headphones at all. Therefore, if the user does not like the option of using headphones, there is an awesome set of speakers integrated within the laptop for an incredible audio experience. Apart from all the ports mentioned above, it should be noted that there is also a single USB Type-C port, which is useful for charging and data transfer.
As far as the keyboard is concerned, this model has been equipped with a chiclet keyboard with a Numpad. It should also be noted that the keys have a backlight for a better experience while using it. In terms of its touchpad, the laptop has a Buttonless Mylar surface multi-touch touchpad. Overall, this is definitely a great laptop to explore, but the choice of owning one is absolutely subjective, depending on the choice and preference of the users.

The Legion 7i offers mixed performance. The Lenovo gaming rig towers above its rivals when it comes to file-transfer speed, virtual reality and screen brightness, but the Legion 7i fails to stand out on overall performance, video transcoding and battery life. If you’re seeking a longer-lasting gaming rig, you should consider the MSI GS66 Stealth, which lasts two hours longer on a charge.

Aside from the performance and the SSD, one thing I really appreciated was Thunderbolt 3. Since I use so many laptops, I'm almost always working with a Thunderbolt 3 dock, so I can just connect my two 4K monitors and work from the laptop that I'm reviewing. Usually with a gaming laptop, I have to make some compromises because gaming laptops don't have Thunderbolt 3, or multiple USB Type-C ports.

So, everybody, we just reviewed a great all-rounder, when it comes to productivity. It can be configured with some of the most powerful mobile processors and graphics cards out there. What’s so special about it? Well, it weighs 2.25 kg and has a profile of 19.9 mm. This is in the MSI GS65 Stealth range. However, unlike the GS65, the Legion 7 (15) makes less noise than the Saturn V rocket, powering the Apollo missions, and manages to provide very respectable frequencies and temperatures.

Lenovo Legion 7i-81YU0035SB
The latest addition to the Lenovo family is the Lenovo Legion 7i-81YU0035SB. While the words “slim” and “lightweight” do not normally apply to gaming laptops, Lenovo has decided to try it out with the new Legion Slim 7i. With a weight of 3.9 pounds and a thickness of 18 mm, Lenovo says this model is the lightest 15.6-inch notebook available that can be configured with Nvidia’s GeForce RTX2060 Max-Q graphics chip. In terms of its design, the model carries a central aluminium chassis which provides decent rigidity. However, despite a couple of plastic additions, there is definitely a little flex. As for the lid, it can be opened with one hand and extended to a full 180 degrees.
On the other hand, the RGB lighting which has been implemented by Lenovo in partnership with Corsair iCue, looks surprisingly good with the ambient light strip on the underside and illuminated rear vents. In terms of its performance, the Legion 7i has been equipped with the 16-thread Intel Core i7-10875H CPU along with 16GB of dual-channel DDR4 memory. There is also a 1TB Samsung PM981a M.2 SSD along with Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Super Max-Q graphics. The absence of a 2.5-inch HDD slot can be quite a drawback, but it has made room for a larger 80Wh battery. The battery definitely supports the gaming ability of the laptop.
As far as the display is concerned, the model comes with three choices: a Full-HD 15.6-inch IPS display with a 300-nit 144Hz panel and 5ms response time; a 500-nit 144Hz panel with 3ms response time; a 500-nit 240Hz panel with 1ms response time. All three tout 100 per cent Adobe sRGB coverage, while the latter duo also boasts DisplayHDR 400 certification. It should, however, be noted that there is no touchscreen option. Again, this might be a drawback for some users, depending on their needs. Apart from that, Lenovo has obviously taken advantage of its ThinkPad heritage with its well-shaped keys. The keys are clean in presentation and satisfying in terms of both action and sound. It is absolutely an enjoyable keyboard to use, although gamers might prefer a little more travel than 1.3mm, and the full-size layout may prove divisive. Lenovo has definitely kept the arrow keys in good size.
In addition, what might at first seem like a large speaker grille above the Slim 7i’s keyboard, is actually used for air intake. This laptop uses Lenovo’s ColdFront 2.0 cooling system, the same one found in the Legion Y740Si, but the company says it can pull in 31 percent more air in this new machine. That is definitely impressive, especially since Lenovo claims that the fans will never get loud. This is obviously great news for users, as it creates a premium experience. Thus, this lightweight device has its own plus points, but carries some drawbacks to.

The Legion 7i with the Nvidia RTX 2080 Super is a top-tier gaming laptop from Lenovo. It has a very strong and premium build which makes it a heavy machine too. The laptop manages to run the gaming titles quite smoothly for the most part. The overall sound output is clear and distortion-free. The laptop chassis does heat up a bit during long gaming sessions. With all that being said, Lenovo is asking for a lot of trust from PC gamers at a starting price of close to Rs 2 lakh.

The Lenovo Legion 7 is a great gaming laptop that excels at the basics, with a top-notch performance and gorgeous Full HD display with Dolby Vision support. But it arguably lacks a killer feature to justify the comparatively expensive price point, with better value offered by Asus and HP machines.

I have given you ample reasons that, kind of, justify the Rs 2 lakh pricing on the Lenovo Legion 7i laptop. You are getting the top-class hardware, a nerdy design, and salient features that will elevate your gaming experience on the Legion 7i. And beyond gamers, the laptop is suited for creators who want help professionally. But Rs 1,99,990 is a hefty price tag.

The Lenovo Legion 7i ticks all the boxes on our list. It has a premium build, a portable and professional-looking design that won’t look out of place in an office environment, a fantastic 240Hz display, a privacy shutter on the webcam, an attractive RGB setup, good battery life, cool software features, and great performance and thermals. We didn’t like the power button though and the small trackpad, but we’re nitpicking as these are things we can sweep under the rug given its pros. At PHP 134,995, it’s pricey, but a competitive price considering what it has to offer. So, if you’re a gamer or a creator, and on a hunt for a laptop that packs the power mentioned above, then the Legion 7i should be at the top of your list.

In pure gaming performance, the Legion 7i claims the advantage—and since it's the second cheapest among the premium 15-inch gaming rigs, it scores high for value despite boasting double the SSD storage of its rivals. The Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 reigns supreme in the midrange price tier, and the Alienware m15 R3 clings to its Editors' Choice for its slicker design and slightly lower price tag, but the Legion 7i is well worth a look from hardcore gamers everywhere.

Lenovo: Lenovo ("Le" from English legend, novo (Latin) for new) was founded in 1984 as a Chinese computer trading company. As of 2004, the company was the largest laptop manufacturer in China and, after acquiring IBM's PC division in 2005, the fourth largest in the world. In addition to desktops and notebooks, the company manufactures monitors, projectors, servers, etc, and specializes in developing, manufacturing and marketing consumer electronics, personal computers, software, enterprise solutions and related services.
In 2016, the company ranked first in the world in computer sales. It still held it in 2023 with about 23% global market share. Important product lines are Thinkpad, Legion and Ideapad.
In 2011, it acquired a majority stake in Medion AG, a European computer hardware manufacturer. In 2014, Motorola Mobility was purchased, which gave Lenovo a boost in the smartphone market.
With these GPUs you are able to play modern and demanding games fluently at medium detail settings and HD resolution.
