Leaker @g01d3nm4ng0 recently outed a new picture of the MSI MAG B660M Mortar, an upcoming midrange B660M board. An earlier price leak indicated that the MAG B660M Mortar will sell for US$219, with the WiFi variant set to cost US$239.

Leaker @g01d3nm4ng0 recently shared a photo of what appears to be the MSI MAG B660M Mortar, an upcoming midrange Alder Lake motherboard with DDR5 and PCI-E 5.0 support. The picture showcases the board's I/O capabilities and its relatively svelte design, at least compared to the positively massive MSI MEG Z690 GODLIKE.

The leaked photo arrives days after @g01d3nm4ng0 outed a price list for a wide range of MSI B660 boards, including the B660M Mortar pictured here. According to that list, the midrange Alder Lake board will cost US$219. This is fairly expensive for a B660M board, considering how the entry-level MSI PRO B660M-E is set to cost just US$119. The Mortar's price actually overlaps with low-end Z690 boards like the US$219 MSI PRO Z690-A. Unlike that particular model, however, the MAG B660M Mortar supports DDR5 RAM.

With leaks regularly incoming, it seems likely that B660M boards will hit the market soon, in time for budget Alder Lake parts like the Core i5-12400 to launch. While DDR5 pricing still remains sky-high, B660M models like the Mortar offer a balanced alternative to Z690 for budget Alder Lake builders.
