Evan Blass has published a host of new renders of the Xperia 5 II ahead of its release on September 17. The details contained within the renders correspond with those that Android Headlines published last week and show the Xperia 5 II in three colours again.
The 6.1-inch device will have the same cameras as the Xperia 1 II, save for the latter's 0.3 MP time of flight (ToF) camera. This means that the Xperia 5 II will have three 12 MP rear-facing cameras. The primary sensor will have an f/1.7 aperture and a 24 mm focal length. It should also be optically stabilised. By contrast, the 12 MP ultra-wide will have a 16 mm focal length, an f/2.2 aperture and a 124° field of view (FoV). The final 12 MP sensor is a telephoto camera that has an f/2.4 aperture, a 70 mm focal length and should support 3x optical zoom backed up by OIS.
The renders also confirm that the Xperia 5 II will have dual front-facing speakers. Additionally, Sony will launch the device with a DualShock 4 phone clip and two cases with built-in kickstands.
Separately, Root MyGalaxy has found what it claims is the Xperia 5 II on Geekbench. The device in question is the Sony SO-52A, which has 8 GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 865 "kona" chipset. Sony included these in the Xperia 1 II, so it should come as no surprise to see the company re-using them for the Xperia 5 II.
