Leaked AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT photos confirm thick design and I/O
The reveal of the Radeon RX 6000 series is just under six weeks away, but that has not stopped RedGamingTech from publishing more photos of what may be AMD's flagship RDNA 2 graphics card. The lighting and background of the new photos suggest that these originate from the same source who supplied a photo of the card to JayzTwoCents earlier this week. While the first photo only showed one side of the card, rumoured to be the Radeon RX 6900 XT, RedGamingTech has published four photos.
Please keep in mind that we use the name Radeon RX 6900 XT as a placeholder until confirmation about the names of the RX 6000 series has been provided. AMD has confirmed that it will group its RDNA 2 cards under the RX 6000 series, but that is as far as we have got currently.
Videocardz suspects that these photos are of a prototype as there is no backplate vent. The website notes that the render accessible from within Fortnite does not have a backplate vent either - so we could be looking at the final design. Regardless, AMD's triple-fan RX 6000 series card will have two DisplayPorts, along with single HDMI and USB Type-C connections. RedGamingTech adds that the dual-fan design which JayzTwoCents leaked is not final, the image of which you can find here. AMD will unveil the RX 6000 series on October 28.
