AMD may have begun teasing the RX 6000 series, but YouTuber JayzTwoCents has published photos and renders of two examples of the upcoming graphics cards. AMD tweeted a render of the RX 6000 series on Monday, although it did not offer many details about the card. The image actually just shows the reference cooler design of the RX 6000 series as there is no PCB attached. It also confirms that AMD will continue to use dual 8-pin power connectors though, unlike NVIDIA RTX 30 series Founders Edition cards.
JayzTwoCents has released not only another render of the same card, but also a real picture of it. The latter seemingly confirms that the red trim around the top card is fixed and not an LED as the Radeon logo is. The fan blades also appear to have silver edging. The YouTuber has revealed a dual-fan version of the RX 6000 series too, which he speculates could be the RX 6700 or RX 6800. This model also has dual 8-pin power connectors.
By contrast, JayzTwoCents believes that the triple-fan model will launch as the RX 6900 series. AMD will reveal the RX 6000 series at an event on October 28. Nothing has been confirmed about the series yet, besides that it will be based on AMD's RDNA 2 architecture, which will also feature in the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles.
