Leak reveals alleged new camera island design of OnePlus 13

OnePlus is expected to launch its new flagship phone soon, and it will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. There are no official details about the smartphone yet, but the OnePlus 13 should launch in China right after Qualcomm announces the next-gen chip.

The company didn't reveal any official pictures of the upcoming flagship either, but Digital Chat Station, a reliable tipster, reports that the OnePlus 13 will feature a redesigned camera island. More specifically, the tipster shared a picture that shows a camera layout different from that of the OnePlus 12.

Digital Chat Station adds that the upcoming OnePlus flagship will sport an improved periscope sensor. The tipster also claims that the image algorithm will be a direct copy of the Oppo Find X8, another upcoming flagship phone. This, combined with a capable camera setup, could make the OnePlus 13 stand as a worthy pick for photography.

For reference, the Oppo Find X7 Ultra currently holds the 4th position in DxOMark's global smartphone camera ranking. The Find X8 series is expected to be even better. Moreover, OnePlus will likely continue its partnership with Hasselblad, a Swedish camera expert, which usually leads to software improvements, advanced imaging technology, and better color calibration.

Other expected features of the OnePlus 13 include a 2K LTPO screen, a large 6,000 mAh battery, 50W wireless charging, and 100W fast charging support (100W Ugreen Nexode power bank curr. $54.39 on Amazon). Earlier this week, Li Jie, the President of the company, shared that the phone will launch next month in China. The global debut is expected to happen sometime early next year.
