A new Reddit post contains images of cases that could have been designed for iPhones. However, both examples of these new cases also do not appear to fit the iPhone X. Therefore, they may be intended for the anticipated new 6.1- and 6.5-inch display models. Both cases bear Speck branding.

Numerous reports indicate that the iPhone X will have multiple successors, and that they will be released at an event thought to be dubbed "Gather Round". These new models are also thought to have much larger screens than the 5.8-inch late 2017 model. To further corroborate this idea, a Redditor called Meechflow95 has posted images of cases that may have been made for a phone with a design similar to that of the iPhone X. However, neither case appears to fit the phone.

Meechflow95 claims to have photographed two of these cases, both of which are held up against an iPhone secured in a store-demo cradle. Both cases are branded with the name of the well-known manufacturer Speck. One of these cases, which the Redditor describes as a "6.1 iPhone case" appears to be only slightly taller and perhaps a little wider than the actual iPhone. However, the second is patently out of proportion with the demo device.

The second image, therefore, may correspond to an iPhone with an unprecedentedly large 6.5 inch screen. Meechflow95 claims that both cases appeared "at Walmart". Therefore, the U.S. megastore chain may be gearing up for the next Apple device release already.
