Lava unveils a new entry-level smartphone with a 50 MP camera and a 90 Hz display
Lava has launched a new budget-focused smartphone in its Yuva series, the Yuva 4. The company’s latest entry-level smartphone is a successor to the Yuva 3, which was announced earlier this year in February. The smartphone retains the same processor, display, and RAM as its predecessor.
The 4G-enabled smartphone is powered by a Unisoc T606 processor paired with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB of storage. Speaking about software, it runs Android 14 out of the box. However, there’s no word on software support from the brand, indicating newer Android updates may never arrive.
The Yuva 4 has a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The rear camera module design of the smartphone is very similar to the predecessor. It features a 50 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front camera. Furthermore, Lava includes a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 10 W wired charging.
The Lava Yuva 4 starts at INR 6,999 ($85) for the base 4 GB + 64 GB variant. However, the pricing of the 4 GB + 128 GB model has not been revealed. It will be sold through Lava’s retail outlets starting this month. The device comes in glossy white, glossy black, and glossy purple color options.
