Keychron is well known for its gaming keyboards, but the company has somewhat recently also delved into the world of gaming mice, only to produce some impressive wireless gaming mice that pack a lot of features and build quality for the price. The Keychron M3 Wireless mouse is one of Keychron's more bare-bones releases, but it strikes a very good balance between value and performance and features, packing six buttons (left, right and middle click, back and forward, and a customisable top button) and solid hardware for the relatively low price. Given the M3's overall shape and feature set, it makes for a compelling, affordable alternative to the ever-popular Logitech G Pro 2 Lightspeed Wireless (curr. $109.99 at Amazon). The M3 comes in four versions — the M3 1K, 1K with RGB, 4K, and 8K — with pricing ordinarily starting at $39.99 for the M3 1K and topping out at $69.99 for the M3 8K.
As part of Keychron's Prime Day sale, however, the Keychron M3 wireless mouse series is discounted by up to 25%. This means the Keychron M3 1K now comes in at $29.99, while the Keychron M3 1K RGB is discounted to $39.99, and the M3 4K will set you back $55.99. The M3 1K most closely matches the Logitech G Pro 2 Lightspeed Wireless in terms of performance and specifications, but shape is king, and if you're after a solid budget alternative, the non-RGB variant has exactly the same shape and costs $10 less.

We have not yet published our review of the Keychron M3 8K — which is currently in progress — but our hands-on testing so far has revealed that the M3 has solid build quality and a reliable sensor implementation. Customisation via Keychron Launcher (only available for the 1K and 8K versions of the M3) is also a strong suit, since there is no need to install any software on your system to customise the mouse or set up macros. The software also allows you to adjust settings like DPI, polling rate, and lift-off distance, and enable features like angle snapping, motion sync, and ripple control.
The Keychron M3 is more than just a Logitech G Pro clone, though, since it packs a handful of quality of life features that Logitech often lacks, like Bluetooth connectivity. The M3 offers Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz (with 1 kHz, 4 kHz, and 8 kHz polling rates corresponding to the exact model name), and USB type-C connectivity options. The M3 1K also comes with dual 2.4 GHz dongles — one USB type-A and one type-C for those pesky modern laptops that only pack a smattering of USB type-C ports. Battery life of the M3 is also solid, if not spectacular, with our testing of the M3 8K in 1 kHz polling mode resulting in an estimated battery life of around 100 hours on 2.4 GHz. The coating on the Keychron M3 is also impressively durable and resistant to sweat, and the mouse is available in either black or white.
While the M3 certainly isn't the lightest gaming mouse around, it's certainly not the heaviest either, at just 79g, and it almost perfectly matches the Logitech G Pro 2 Lightspeed Wireless mouse's 80 g weight. Below is a run-down of the exact specifications of each version of the Keychron M3 mouse, but the discounted options include a PixArt 3395 or 3311 sensor, which results in DPI caps of 12,000–26,000. All versions of the Keychron M3 Wireless mouse use Kailh G Master Micro switches, which are rated to 80 million clicks. Similarly, all three versions feature DPI, polling rate, and connectivity mode switches on the bottom for quick, easy pairing and conveniently adjusting wireless settings.
