Deal | Just in time for the World Cup: EA Sports FC 26 hits record-low Steam price

The FIFA World Cup kicked off on June 11 and will run until July 19. Just in time for the start of the tournament, EA’s soccer simulation EA Sports FC 26 is now on sale on Steam – at its lowest price yet. With an 80% discount, the PC version is currently available for $14 instead of $70. On Amazon, the PS5 version is offered for around $28, while the Xbox version is listed at around $13.
To mark the World Cup, EA Sports FC 26 also includes new content. However, due to the split between FIFA and EA, the update is not called “FIFA World Cup 2026”, but rather “The World’s Game”. The main feature is a 48-team tournament mode with 53 fully licensed national teams, including Germany, Brazil, England, France, Spain and many more. Ultimate Team also gets its own event hub with new tokens, weekly campaigns, more than 250 challenges and new international pro items.
The user feedback may seem alarming at first: only 47% of the more than 70,000 Steam reviews are positive. However, this is mainly because FC 26 has barely evolved compared to its predecessors and continues to carry many of the series’ familiar weaknesses – technical issues, balancing problems and an excessive focus on Ultimate Team. Anyone looking to get into the World Cup mood while gaming may still find the latest entry in the EA Sports FC series a solid choice.
