The unannounced i3-8130U will come as an answer to AMD's entry-level Ryzen 2000U series and is said to feature impressive 3.4 GHz turbo frequencies.

Update - On February 12, Intel released the official information on the i3-8130U model.

Intel launched the i5-8350U and i7-8550U Kaby Lake-R mobile CPUs in late Q3 2017, but, according to new leaks, the gen 8 ULV family will also feature an i3 model. The unannounced i3-8130U should be the entry-level ULV of the Kaby Lake-R CPUs that and should have similar TDP as its more advanced siblings that are already powering ultraportables and thin devices.

The specs resemble that of the gen 7 dual-core/ four-thread i3-7130U model, but there is one important difference: the base clocks were brought down from 2.7 GHz to 2.2 GHz, while Intel managed to squeeze in an impressive 3.4 GHz turbo clock. Accordingly, the TDP was raised to 10-15 W, and the cache memory was increased to 4 MB. As integrated GPU, Intel included the same UHD Graphics 620 chip with unchanged 300-1000 MHz clocks.

Even though there are no actual benchmarks or any info on pricing, the i3 mobile ULV CPU is probably going to go head to head with the entry-level Ryzen ULVs from AMD, and Intel will most likely announce it in a few weeks.
