The 77-inch LG C4 OLED TV is currently on sale at a massive $500 discount. With a 4K resolution, a 144 Hz refresh rate, and all the goodness of an OLED panel, the discounted LG C4 TV should make for an excellent purchase for both gaming and general media consumption.

LG’s OLED TVs often rank among the best in the market. In the company’s lineup, the LG C series sits below the flagship G series, offering a nice mix of flagship features at a lower price. The 2024 LG C4 is no exception. The TV offers up to an 83-inch OLED panel with a 4K resolution, a 144 Hz refresh rate, and the latest α9 AI Processor Gen7 for image/sound processing.

Sam’s Club has now made the LG C4 an even better TV by cutting the $2,499 retail price down by a massive $500 and throwing in five years of Allstate warranty for free. The discount takes the LG C4 OLED to only $1,999, a price that is currently not matched by any other retailer. For instance, a relatively trustworthy seller is offering the 77-inch LG C4 for $2,496.99 on Amazon. Similarly, the TV is going for $2,499 at Best Buy.

That said, there is a small catch: the LG C4 OLED TV on offer requires a Sam’s Club membership which costs $50 per year. Moreover, you can get free shipping if you subscribe to Sam’s Club Plus for $110/year.

Granted, the LG C4 OLED requiring a subscription is not ideal, but the TV is still priced considerably lower than other retailers even when we factor in the subscription cost.

LG C4 OLED TV is highly rated

RTINGS scores the LG C4 OLED at a 9.0 for “Mixed usage” with the score jumping to 9.1 and 9.4 for “HDR Movies” and “Video Games”, respectively. The main qualities of the LG C4 that contribute to such high ratings include:

  • An infinite contrast for deep blacks
  • Excellent HDR brightness and high SDR brightness
  • Stellar color performance with DCI-P3 coverage and good factory calibration
  • A 144 Hz refresh rate and VRR for tear-free gaming
  • Super fast response time and low input lag

Looking at some numbers, RTINGS’ testing shows that the LG C4 boasts a Peak 2% HDR and SDR Window brightness of 950 and 427 nits, respectively. Combined with 99.3% of the DCI-P3 uv gamut and excellent color volume, the OLED TV does a great job when displaying HDR and SDR media.

For gamers, the picture quality of the LG C4 is combined with a native refresh rate of 144 Hz, AMD FreeSync/Nvidia G-Sync, an 80% response time of only 0.2 ms, and a low input lag of only 4.6 ms at 4K@144 Hz.

Long story short, if you are on the hunt for an expansive OLED TV, the LG C4 seems like an awesome value at the current price.
