Updated | IMMOTOR BAY portable power station is lighter device with 100 W fast charging ability
The IMMOTOR BAY power station is a new portable device, available in 1,023 Wh and 543 Wh models. The power banks use lithium-ion batteries, providing up to 100 W of power via various ports. Outputs include 100 W TYPE-C, USB-A, AC and DC ports and a wireless charging pad, allowing you to charge several devices simultaneously.
With a maximum 300 W fast charging, you can fully recharge the BAY500 in under 1.8 hours, and the BAY1000 can be fully recharged in 1.3 hours with 1000 W AC charging. Alternatively, you can use solar panels to charge the gadget; IMMOTOR claims its MPPT system increases energy efficiency by 30%. You can connect to the BAY power stations via Bluetooth to view real-time charging information in a smartphone app. The app can also be used to control an ambient light built into the front of the device, choosing from various color options.
The BAY500 weighs 15 lbs (~6.8 kg), while the BAY1000 clocks in at 24 lbs (~11 kg). The gadgets are available in a range of magnetic shell cover colors and patterns, with a leather carry handle. You can currently pre-order the IMMOTOR BAY500 and BAY1000 power stations via the company’s online store for US$389 and US$889, respectively. You will need to pay a US$10 deposit to lock in this price; the gadgets are expected to retail for US$569 and US$1,299 in the future. An Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign for the devices is expected to launch on September 27th, though the various pledge levels are unknown.
