TechEpiphany has released Mindfactory's CPU sales for weeks 14 and 15 of 2026. The data shows that AMD continues to dominate the overall sales. However, Intel CPU sales seem to have improved. That said, TechEpiphany claims that the decline in CPU sales is unprecedented.

We reported in late March that CPU sales were going through a slump, at least on the German retailer Mindfactory. Per TechEpiphany’s numbers, CPU sales in week 13 of 2026 were the lowest ever. Sadly, the situation doesn’t seem to have improved in weeks 14 and 15, as TechEpiphany reports that they “have never seen such a steep decline” in their 10 years of CPU sales tracking.

In weeks 14 and 15, Minfactory sold a total of 860 AMD Ryzen CPUs at an Average Selling Price (ASP) of €390 and 140 Intel CPUs at an ASP of €246. Revenue-wise, AMD CPUs accounted for 90.26% of the total revenue while Intel processors made up for only 9.74%.

Looking at the individual CPU generations, AMD Zen 5 was the best-selling at 645 total units, followed by Zen 4 at 105 units and Intel Core Ultra 200 CPUs at 90 units.

We mentioned in our previous reporting that, courtesy of the excellent price/performance of the Core Ultra 200S Plus Arrow Lake Refresh, we could see better Intel CPU sales. It seems this is now happening, as TechEpiphany reports that the demand for Intel CPUs has improved a bit due to the expansion of total Core Ultra 200 offerings.

Intel is rumored to be working on a Raptor Lake Refresh for the LGA1700 platform. Reports claim that these new Raptor Lake Refresh CPUs could launch sometime in early 2027. If this refresh is anything like the Core Ultra 200S Plus Arrow Lake Refresh, then consumers will have more Intel CPUs with good price/performance. Coupled with the release of the next-gen Intel Nova Lake CPUs, Team Blue might finally be able to mount a recovery come 2027.

All in all, things are not looking good for the DIY PC market. The consumer tech market, including phones and laptops, desperately needs the price of DRAM and storage to come down to stop things from getting worse.
