Huawei has brought the Watch GT Runner to Europe, a smartwatch that it introduced in November for the Chinese market. As far as we can tell, the global model matches its Chinese sibling in all areas, including its Android 6.0+ and iOS 9.0+ compatability. Additionally, the 46 mm smartwatch continues to have a 1.43-inch AMOLED display that resolves at 466 x 466 pixels.
Likewise, the Watch GT Runner retains its 5 ATM water resistance and its 451 mAh battery that, supposedly, delivers up to 14 days of battery life. The Watch GT Runner supports GPS, Bluetooth 5.2 and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi too, along with 22 m-wide watch bands. Incidentally, the Watch GT Runner weighs 38.5 g without a watch band attached and is 11 mm thick.
Unsurprisingly, Huawei has packed the Watch GT Runner with plenty of health tracking features, including SpO2 monitoring. The Watch GT Runner also supports third-party applications, and Huawei's Celia voice assistant for issuing voice commands. Huawei mentions that the smartwatch is Qi-wireless charging compatible as well, plus reverse wireless charging for recharging a smartphone on the move.
The Watch GT Runner will launch outside China in black and grey colourways. The smartwatch will be available from today for €299.
