IFA 2022 | Huawei MatePad Pro 11 showcased with 120 Hz OLED display and enhanced multitasking, note-taking abilities
Huawei unveiled the MatePad Pro 11 last month in the Chinese market and bringing the device to the European market at IFA 2022. The MatePad Pro 11 is available in both Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 and Snapdragon 888 variants. The one on display at the event is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 9000E.
According to Huawei, the MatePad Pro 11 is the lightest 11-inch tablet on the market tipping the scales at just 449 g. The company's frosting processing coupled with a dome ring design for the camera module lends a modern look.
The MatePad Pro 11 is equipped with an 11-inch OLED FullView 10-bit display with a 2,560 x 1,600 resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate and a screen-to-body ratio of 92%. Huawei claims that the display offers pro-level color accuracy comparable to that of a professional monitor and that it is the only tablet to receive TUV Rheinland's Full Care Display 3.0 certification.
The rear camera module features a dual-camera setup comprised of a 13 MP f/1.8 autofocus primary shooter and an 8MP f/2.2 fixed focus wide-angle lens with a 112° field of view. The selfie shooter is a 16 MP f/2.2 fixed focus camera with an 86° field of view.
The tablet also features Huawei Sound with six speakers and four mics, second generation Huawei M-Pencil for multitasking, and Huawei Notes. The device supports intuitive multitasking gestures that enable opening up to four apps together — two in split screen and two in app bubbles.
HarmonyOS 3 comes pre-installed on the 128 GB internal storage that is paired with 8 GB RAM. Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1 come as standard. An 8,300 mAh battery powers the device while the USB Type-C port handles charging and audio output needs.
The Huawei MatePad Pro 11 will be available from September 30 starting from €649. Pre-orders go live between September 2 and September 29 on the Huawei Online Store. Those pre-ordering stand to get the Huawei second generation M-Pencil Elegant Edition (€99) and a folio cover (€39) for free along with a 50% discount on Huawei Care Extended Warranty. The company will also be launching the MatePad Pro 12.6 in Autumn 2022.
