Deal | Hoverfly’s X5 foldable e-scooter with 20 mph top speed gets significant price cut on Amazon

The Hoverfly X5 electric scooter is now available at a more affordable price, thanks to an ongoing Amazon sale. Right now, the Hoverfly X5 has a 17% or $75 price cut, allowing you to buy the electric scooter for $374.98 rather than the original list price of $449.99. While it’s not a huge discount, Camel’s price history suggests that this is the lowest-ever price recorded for this model so far this year. It’s worth noting that it’s a limited-time deal and currently it’s unclear how long this deal will last. Interestingly, the Hoverfly online store is also offering the same deal. 

Specs-wise, the urban-focused e-scooter features a 500 W motor and a 432 Wh battery that delivers a top speed of 20 mph (32.1 km/h) and a maximum range of 25 miles (40.2 km) when used in gear 1 mode, where the top speed is capped at 15.5 mph (24.9 km/h). Like other e-scooters, you’ll also get a one-touch foldable design in the X5, which further makes it easy to carry and store in a car or compact without any worries whatsoever. 

The UL2272-certified e-scooter weighs around 44 lbs (19.9 kg) and can handle payloads of up to 264 lbs (119 kg). Unlike other e-scooters with 8” tires, the X5 is equipped with 10” honeycomb solid tires paired with a rear disc brake, EABS, and a front suspension. If we take a look at Amazon reviews, the e-scooter scores an impressive 4.6 out of 5 stars, with users all for its performance, durability, and reliability. However, some users reported concerns about the charging time. 

There’s a 4.5-inch LED display on the handlebar that shows real-time speed, battery levels, accumulated mileage, speed, and other riding-related information. Unfortunately, it lacks app-based controls, which disappoints some buyers for sure. On the positive side, it offers a customizable digital lock, a walk-assist mode, and a headlight and taillight.
