Honor announces new gaming phone with massive 12,070mAh battery

Honor is gearing up to launch the Win 2 gaming phone lineup, and recently, the company has shared a lot about the flagship model with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. Now, more details about the Win RT 2 have surfaced.
Among the newly revealed specs, the highlight is the 12,070mAh battery of the Honor Win RT 2. For reference, the flagship Win 2 features a 10,100mAh battery, which already beats what competitors like the iQOO 16, OnePlus 16 (12/256GB curr. $1,009.96 on TradingShenzhen), and RedMagic 12 Pro+ bring to the table.
The company has also showcased the design of the Honor Win RT 2, and despite coming with a large battery, the phone seems to have a relatively thin mid frame. Compared to the Win 2, the camera island on the back seems different, and the RT2 appears to be missing the dual-fan cooling setup.
Of course, it does seem that the Win RT 2 will have active cooling, possibly with a single-fan setup. The photos also show that the phone has a dual-camera setup on the back, which might not be much different than the Win 2.
Other than that, Honor hasn't confirmed the SoC of this gaming phone yet, but it's expected to be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the last-gen flagship SoC. The phone is also set to come with 90W fast charging support, but it's unclear whether it will have wireless charging support.
On the bright side, the launch of the Honor Win 2 series is set for October 21, 2026, in China, which is around the corner. The company will also be introducing a third phone from this series called the Win Turbo 2, but not much about the device has been shared.
