The latest leak from a known leaker talks about the next Honor Win series phones, the company’s gaming-focused flagship. There will be meaningful upgrades in the screen, SoC, cooling, and battery departments.

Honor launched the Win smartphone series in China late last year. It included the Win and the Win RT, two gaming-focused phones featuring Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon chipset, active cooling, and a 185 Hz OLED display, all backed by a massive 10,000 mAh battery. A new leak has now hinted at the successor to the series, packing some upgrades to the SoC, battery, cooling, and display.

The information comes from Digital Chat Station over on Weibo, but it doesn’t name the manufacturer. However, the emoji used in the post points to Honor, and the specifications are in line with the Win series. The flagship in the lineup, likely the Honor Win 2, is said to come with a “2nm Snapdragon 8-series flagship chip,” a battery that’s over 10,000 mAh, a second-generation active cooling fan, and a larger 6.89-inch 2K+ display with 185 Hz refresh rate.

The “2nm Snapdragon 8-series flagship chip” suggests it’s either the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 or Gen 6 Pro SoC, while the “10000mAh++” battery suggests it will be much higher than the 10,000 mAh present in the Honor Win. This is, of course, thanks to silicon-carbon batteries that many Chinese manufacturers have transitioned to. The display will be a bit larger than the Honor Win (6.83) but with the same refresh rate.

Digital Chat Station adds that there is another variant, likely the Honor Win RT successor, with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Judging by the original duo, this variant will feature mostly the same specs as the flagship offering, with compromises in the camera department and the SoC. Furthermore, there could be a third in the lineup with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, but what compromises this one entails, remains unclear.

Notably, Honor has not shared any information on the next generation of its Win series phones, so take this with a pinch of salt.
