Honor Watch 6 Plus to be launched soon with giant battery and 3,000 nits AMOLED display

After the Honor Watch 6 Plus was released on a teaser website in mid-May, Honor has now unveiled the most important specifications of the smartwatch. The watch looks similar to the Huawei Watch GT 6, but offers a much bigger battery.
The battery offers a capacity of 1,000 mAh, which is more than twice as large as the battery of the Samsung Galaxy Watch8 ($329 on Amazon), for example. According to Honor, this battery should enable a runtime of 17 days with normal use, 35 days in power-saving mode, or 42 hours with continuous use of the GPS module. Despite the large battery, the Honor Watch 6 Plus is relatively thin and light at 10.8 millimetres and 41 grams.
The smartwatch has a round 1.46-inch AMOLED display that achieves a remarkable brightness of 3,000 nits. The touchscreen is said to respond correctly even when the screen or the user's fingers are wet - practical in the rain or after swimming. The GPS module can not only be used to record the route taken while running or cycling, but also supports a navigation app.
The watch offers an NFC chip for contactless payment and supports more than 120 sports modes. Honor offers comprehensive health monitoring, including a risk assessment for high blood pressure. All remaining details about the features and price should be revealed at the launch on May 25.
