Honor MagicPad 2

The latest from the Honor family, MagicPad 2 combines sleek design and premium materials in a thin, lightweight package. Measuring just 5.8mm in thickness and weighing 555 grams, it is lighter than many competitors with similar-sized screens, like the iPad Pro 13 and Galaxy Tab S9+. Its 92% screen-to-body ratio and thin bezels highlight its stunning 12.3-inch OLED display, which boasts a high-resolution of 1920 x 3000 pixels for vibrant visuals. With 144Hz refresh rate and advanced display features like AI Defocus, PWM dimming, and Circadian Night Display, the tablet delivers smooth motion, flicker-free performance, and better eye comfort, especially at night. The back of the tablet is made from feather fibre materials with a unique mother-of-pearl finish which not only looks elegant but also resists fingerprints, adding to its premium feel. The MagicPad 2 also features an IPX5 rating for added durability, making it resistant to splashes and dust. Powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, the MagicPad 2 offers robust performance thanks to its specialized architecture. This version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 features 8 cores, including a fast Cortex-X4 at 3 GHz and a mix of Cortex-720 and Cortex-520 cores, ensuring efficiency and impressive power. This chip, built on a 4nm node, is paired with 12GB of RAM and storage options ranging from 256GB to 1TB, providing ample space for multitasking and content creation.

In terms of cameras, the 13MP rear camera and 9MP front camera perform well for video calls, document scanning, and occasional photos, though they are not the tablet’s standout features. The Honor MagicPad 2 excels in productivity with the MagicPad 2 Smart Bluetooth keyboard and the Magic Pencil (both sold separately), enhancing its capabilities for note-taking, drawing, and document editing. The keyboard, while useful, lacks a trackpad and cannot be detached from the tablet, which limits its ergonomics as compared to other options like the OnePlus Pad. For battery life, the 10,050mAh battery lasts a solid 7 to 8 hours of moderate use, including video streaming and browsing. This performance is enhanced by the efficient Snapdragon chipset and OLED screen, which doesn’t require a backlight, improving energy consumption. Charging is quick thanks to 66W fast charging, making it easy to power up in a hurry. In conclusion, the Honor MagicPad 2 is a feature-rich tablet that impresses with its OLED display, powerful processor, and premium design. Its long battery life and solid performance make it an excellent choice for those seeking a high-end tablet for work or entertainment, though the accessories, like the keyboard and stylus, are additional costs.

84.8% Honor MagicPad 2 Tablet Review - 12.3-inch, 144-Hz OLED price-cutter | Notebookcheck
£600 is a lot of money for a tablet. The slim Honor MagicPad 2, however, gives you a lot in return: It is one of the most affordable 12-inch tablets with an OLED display. Its 144 Hz refresh rate, 3K resolution, 8 speakers and speedy Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 complete the first-rate spec sheet. But how does it fare IRL? We took a closer look in our review.
80% Honor MagicPad 2 review: This mid-range tablet has a unique OLED advantage
Source: Android Central English
With all other mid-range tablets featuring LCD panels, the OLED-toting MagicPad 2 has a distinct advantage in this area. The rich colors and excellent contrast of the OLED panel make the tablet a delight when it comes to streaming TV shows and movies, and with eight audio drivers in total, you get powerful built-in sound. The design itself is sleek considering the size of the tablet, and you get decent internals under the hood and great battery life. The only issue is that it will get a solitary software update, but even accounting for that, the MagicPad 2 is the best mid-range tablet around.

The Honor MagicPad 2 represents excellent value for what you pay for as it hosts an exceptionally vibrant and responsive 144Hz OLED display, a robust chassis reinforced by glass fibre, solid overall performance for work and productivity tasks and a bundled keyboard case as well as a stylus too. At RM2,799, the Honor MagicPad2 represents excellent value for what it offers with its luscious 144Hz OLED display, solid performance, modicum of AI capabilities and endurance with its bundled stylus and keyboard case further adding to its value proposition.

80% Honor Magic Pad 2 review: Mostly magical
Source: Expert Reviews English
Even still, I’m ultimately impressed with the Magic Pad 2. Honor’s latest take on the Android tablet pairs powerful hardware with a tidy software package and looks really quite sublime while doing it. The AI features are handy but not overbearing, and I’m thankful Honor hasn’t found a reason to push a full generative AI chatbot into its products – not yet, at least. The only real downside is the lack of software support, which might make some think twice. If you want more longevity, the OnePlus Pad 2 goes for the same £500 and is set for three years of OS updates and four years of security patches. Otherwise, there’s very little to dislike about the Magic Pad 2; between the price and the performance, it’s a cracking bit of hardware.

Honor MagicPad 2 review: Mid-range Android tablet feels like an iPad
Source: Tech Advisor English
The Honor Magic Pad 2 offers an impressive value-for-money proposition in the Android tablet market. Its 12.3-inch OLED display with 144Hz refresh rate is undoubtedly one of the best screens you’ll find in this price range, making it ideal for media consumption, gaming, and light productivity. The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset and 12GB of RAM deliver smooth performance, ensuring that the tablet can handle multiple tasks without lag. While the lack of an IP rating and the absence of a trackpad in the keyboard case may limit its functionality for some users, the bundled Magic Pencil 3 and Smart Bluetooth Keyboard provide excellent value for those looking for a capable tablet at a reasonable price. Whether you’re a student, professional, or casual user, the Honor MagicPad 2 is a well-rounded option.

The Honor MagicPad 2 seems to be a jack of all trades. It's not cheap, but it brings a lot to the table too. The highlights are the gorgeous OLED screen and the amazing speakers. Additionally, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 provides plenty of horsepower for productivity, multi-tasking and maybe even gaming. The attachable keyboard and the stylus pen are excellent additions that help turn the tablet into a productivity-oriented device. Battery life and fast charging are both reliable enough and the neat software features complement the tablet's previously mentioned capabilities. There's one thing we don't get, though, and that's the absence of a fingerprint reader. This is a big omission in our books.

There’s a lot to like about the Honor MagicPad 2. A sleek design hosts a gorgeous OLED display, supports accessories that add meaningful value to the user experience and packs plenty of power for everyday tasks, with a flair for media consumption. MagicOS 8 is brimming with features, boasts some genuinely useful AI-backed experiences and is great for file sharing, especially across the Honor ecosystem. Some rough edges on the UX and disappointing long-term software support are all that really hold the MagicPad 2 back from true tablet greatness. It’s still easy enough to recommend, considering the price.

The Honor MagicPad 2 is an excellent tablet in its price range. It performs well, offers a stunning screen, and boasts premium build quality, all for less than an equivalent Samsung or Apple tablet. Of course, you have to live in a region where it’s available to get it, but if you do and you’re looking for a flagship-level Android tablet at less than a flagship price, the Honor MagicPad 2 is the way to go.

90% Honor Magicpad2 Review: A Surprise Alternative To Ipad Pro
Source: Slashgear English
This is a solid high-end tablet and I would recommend it to anyone. Honor seems to be going to war with the big boys in terms of design, quality, and pricing — so naturally there are options from both Apple and Samsung at the €599 (roughly $660) price point Honor has picked. Having used both an iPad Air and Honor's MagicPad 2 at home, and messed around with various Samsung Galaxy Tabs at trade shows, I genuinely prefer Honor's effort and could probably argue ways in which it can give an iPad Pro a run for its money. In summary, the display is beautiful, the speakers are superb, the office tools are class-leading, battery life is abundant, and the accessories enhance the experience — even if they do have their faults.

The Honor MagicPad 2 is a very serious contender in the flagship tablet market. It manages to do a lot of things right: it has a gorgeous OLED screen that can go up to 144Hz, the design is sleek and stylish, and the build quality is top-notch. The chipset inside is quite powerful, and even though it's not the regular 8 Gen 3, the "s" variant gets the job done. The software has some nice AI additions that won't leave you breathless, but what they'll do is help you get things actually done. The battery life is solid, and the price is competitive as well.

85.9% Honor MagicPad3 Review: Ingenious speakers and mega battery run time on the 13.3-inch tablet | Notebookcheck
The Honor MagicPad3 really stands out with its bright XXL screen, strong sound quality, and long battery life. That being said, the Android tablet market is really picking up speed in 2025. Read our review to find out whether the large MagicPad3 is worth its price compared to the strong competition.
80% The Honor MagicPad 3 is a professional-looking tablet with great accessories – but it's let down by a poor LCD screen
Source: It Pro English
There is a lot to like about the Honor MagicPad 3, particularly its keyboard, pencil, and battery life. However, in comparison to the OnePlus Pad 3 and the iPad Pro, it does fall short when it comes to CPU power and display quality. For business use, it is an acceptable laptop replacement, provided you're not going to use it for intensive workloads or image or video editing. But it is light enough to carry around, slim enough for your average backpack, and strong enough to last well beyond the average workday.

90% HONOR MagicPad 3 Review: A Big, Beautiful Tablet That Nails the Essentials
Source: Android Headlines English
Should you buy the HONOR MagicPad 3? Well, yes, actually. If it’s within your budget, you’ll hardly find a better tablet. This one offers great performance, great build quality, outstanding battery life, and a great case that you can get for it, amongst other things. MagicOS 9.0.1 is a great UI to have on the tablet, and there’s really not much we can complain about here. Yes, an OLED display would be a better option in terms of color accuracy, but the one we have here is great regardless, and 99% of you won’t really care. Yes, the cameras could be better, but that’s arguably the least important aspect of a tablet. Everything that matters here is… well, great. This is an easy recommendation.

HONOR MagicPad 3: Flagship Power With Some Compromises
Source: Phandroid English
The HONOR MagicPad 3 is priced at £599 in the UK (around $800), though HONOR frequently runs promotions that drop it to £499. At launch, buyers also got the keyboard and stylus for free, which makes the value proposition much better. Without those freebies, you’re paying full price for a tablet that’s missing some features you’d expect at this price point. If you prioritize battery life and screen size above all else, the MagicPad 3 delivers. The performance is solid, the speakers are great, and that battery life is genuinely impressive. But the switch from OLED to LCD and the limited software support are tough pills to swallow. Competitors like the OnePlus Pad 3 offer newer processors and better displays for similar or lower prices. Samsung’s tablets provide longer software support, even if they cost more.

The Honor MagicPad 3 delivers a luxury Android tablet experience without the high-end price tag. Its slim and lightweight design makes it easy to take on the go, perfect if you want to watch your favorite shows on its gorgeous 3.2K screen. Pair this portability with the well-designed keyboard case and you have a tablet that’s ideal for productivity too, especially when you factor in the incredible battery life. It’s somewhat undermined by the disappointing update support, though, with just one Android upgrade and two years of security patches planned.

This Tablet's Battery Life is Ridiculous | Honor MagicPad 3 Review
Source: Tech Spurt English
Now, with its enormous silicon carbon battery, one of the best bits of this slender Android tablet is that excellent longevity. You can muck about with three or four apps and stream video simultaneously and still enjoy over ten hours of action. Plus, the Honor MagicPad 3's fast charge support makes it a champion in the battery life realm. That LCD screen may not be OLED tech but it's still pleasingly crisp with respectable HDR output, and it's bright enough to use outdoors if you can avoid direct sunlight. Sadly the audio output isn't as thrilling. Despite boasting eight speakers, the Honor MagicPad 3 could use a bass and volume boost.

80% Honor MagicPad 3 review: Power, value for money and an odd omission
Source: Tech Advisor English
The Honor MagicPad 3 offers good value for money considering the screen size, power and the formidable battery. Bundled in with that keyboard and pencil it’s a great offer: once those offers expire and this tablet returns to full price, it will face tough competition from the OnePlus Pad 3. I’ve enjoyed working and watching on the MagicPad 3 and while the loss of an OLED display is a shame, I think there’s enough to compensate for that. At the same time, Honor was the cheap OLED tablet of choice with the MagicPad 2; that distinction has now gone and there’s a little less to help Honor’s tablet stand out among the best tablets on offer.

100% Honor Magic Pad 3 review: A middling screen with lots of quality behind it
Source: Expert Reviews English
Both the OnePlus Pad 3 and the iPad Air are better choices if you want to get the most powerful performance for your money, but neither gets you the keyboard case and stylus for as little money as the Honor Magic Pad 3. Plus, the Honor is still a nippy performer, and will likely be plenty fast for most users. Beyond that, it offers some of the best battery life of any tablet around and an impressive seven years of software support, so it will last you a good long time in more ways than one. It’s still a shame that Honor chose to revert from OLED to LCD for the display, but there’s no denying that the Magic Pad 3 offers more than enough quality to make up for it.

Honor MagicPad 3 Pro Specifications, Pros and Cons
Source: OI Spice Tech News English
The Honor MagicPad 3 Pro 13.3 was announced on October 15, 2025, and released shortly after on October 23. It is clearly aimed at users who want a premium Android tablet for work, media, and creativity. The tablet feels modern and slim with a metal body that is just 5.8 mm thick, even though it houses a large display and battery. Weighing 595 grams, it is light for its size and easy to handle for long sessions. Stylus support makes it useful for note-taking and drawing, while the large screen and thin bezels give it a clean, professional look. The highlight of the MagicPad 3 Pro is its 13.3-inch IPS LCD display. It offers a sharp 2136 × 3200 resolution with a 3:2 aspect ratio and around 289 ppi pixel density, which is great for reading, browsing, and multitasking.

89.6% A mega-tablet with a 12.3-inch OLED screen and a no-brainer price – Honor MagicPad 4 review | Notebookcheck
A speedy Android tablet with a large and super-bright OLED display and top-notch features for under £600? The comparatively inexpensive MagicPad4 offers excellent value for money in the mid-range segment and manages to make the iPad competition seem truly overpriced.
100% Honor MagicPad 4 review: One serious tablet to take on Samsung
Source: T3 English
The Honor MagicPad 4 is not a cheap tablet. It’s no impulse buy. But when you compare it directly to the competition from Apple and Samsung, it does start to seem a bit of a bargain. It’s a very large tablet with an excellent screen and a wonderfully thin and light design that significantly boosts handling. And its list of abilities is similar to those of far more expensive rivals – including the option of a smart stylus and a case with a good-quality keyboard. Sure, you can get more powerful tablets, but this one still runs Fortnite like a dream and feels responsive. So do you really need more? Most people don’t. The Honor MagicPad 4 really is magic for the money.

The MagicPad 4 is the best Android tablet that you can't buy in the US, and it isn't particularly close. The thinness and weight stop being specs the moment you hold it — they become the defining characteristic of the whole experience. The OLED upgrade from the MagicPad 3 is significant and long overdue, and paired with 165Hz and that brightness ceiling, it's one of the best tablet displays available at any price. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 brings more than enough grunt to any scenario, the AI toolkit is genuinely useful, and the keyboard case turns it into a productivity device that takes itself seriously. The one thing I need to criticize is the lack of any water or dust protection, which makes outdoor use a gamble if there's a cloud in the sky. The aspect ratio needs a slight mental adjustment for landscape gaming, some AI features may be region-locked, and the bloatware situation on first setup is untidy. None of that changes the conclusion. Starting at £599, Honor has made a real alternative to Samsung's best offerings, and is a better value option in most areas.

100% ‘They fixed everything’ — Honor quietly launched the best mid-range Android tablet I’ve ever tested
Source: Techradar English
Honor has delivered the perfect Android tablet with the MagicPad 4, addressing every single complaint I had with the previous model. Its attractive design is incredibly thin and lightweight, but the brand has still managed to cram in some strong specs that power through work and play. The OLED screen is absolutely gorgeous and a highlight at this price, especially paired with such a great speaker setup. With generous update support promised, this will be my go-to device for years to come.

Honor MagicPad4 Review: The Super-Thin Android Tablet For Productivity
Source: BGR English
The Honor MagicPad4 is a great tablet. It's beautifully built, impressively thin, and packs enough power to handle anything a reasonable user would throw at it. The OLED display is gorgeous, the software experience is surprisingly competent, and the keyboard accessory makes it a viable productivity machine. It can't quite compete with the iPad Pro though — Apple's combination of superior silicon, a better tablet OS, and a deeper app ecosystem still puts it in a different league. But if you're committed to Android or simply want a premium tablet that isn't an iPad, the MagicPad4 is one of the best options you can buy today.

80% Honor MagicPad 4 review: Amazingly thin
Source: Phone Arena English
Absolutely! That is if you can find one. Sourcing the MagicPad 4 in North America could be rather difficult, and even in some European countries, availability isn't great. If you're based in the UK, you're in luck; Honor has a strong presence on the Albion. But if you manage to get your hands on one of these beauties, you'd be delighted. It's one of the thinnest tablets I've ever reviewed; it's lightweight and comfortable, the bezels are narrow, and the screen itself is a marvel to look at. You also get good performance from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, and the sound system is brilliant! These are pretty important areas in a slate, and I can forgive the mediocre camera performance and the lack of wireless charging. Overall, as far as flagship OLED tablets go, this one is great.

Now it's Beefy, Slim & OLED! | Honor MagicPad 4 Tablet Review
Source: Tech Spurt English
Reviewing the Honor MagicPad 4 (12.3), a 2026 tablet boasting an upgraded OLED screen, overhauled design and even more power vs the 3! However, it's not all good news, as the Honor MagicPad 4 makes one sacrifice to achieve greatness. Here's my thoughts on the gaming performance, battery life etc after two weeks of testing. One of the big drawbacks of the previous tablet was that LCD screen, which was good but no OLED. That's been rectified for the Honor MagicPad 4 12.3, which the manufacturer boasts is an 'IMAX experience'. You certainly do get some crispy visuals with strong contrast and HDR10 support. Plus, some meaty speakers with excellent codec support for streaming. The Honor MagicPad 4 is a capable gamer these days, offering Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 smarts. This can handle the likes of Wuthering Waves no worries, with a smooth frame rate even at 60FPS. You can also happily multi-task in MagicOS 10, with a PC mode if you want to run up to 20 apps side-by-side!

90% Honor MagicPad 4 Review
Source: Trusted Reviews English
The Honor MagicPad 4 is one of the most impressive big-screen Android tablets around, not because it’s the absolute fastest, but because of how well it balances premium hardware and price. The ultra-thin, featherlight design makes it more comfortable to use than most rivals without sacrificing battery life, build quality or day-to-day performance, and the optional keyboard and stylus help it double as a capable productivity machine. The 12.3-inch OLED display is the real star, delivering inky blacks, punchy colours and a super-smooth 165Hz refresh rate, while the eight-speaker setup makes it great for films, games and general entertainment.

The Honor MagicPad 4 is a super little business tablet, with great accessories, and brilliant work-centric features. It's also very affordable, making it a top-tier alternative to the iPad. And, there are early bird discounts that add more value – it's currently available for £499.99 on the Honor website.

90% HONOR MagicPad 4 – Review.

If you’re looking for an Android tablet that doesn’t feel like a compromise, the Honor MagicPad 4 is it. It’s fixed the screen issues of the previous generation, doubled down on performance, and managed to stay thinner than my wallet after a weekend at the races. It’s honest, it’s fast, and it’s genuinely fun to use. Honor is “sticking it” to the big boys here, and honestly? They’ve jolly well succeeded.

80% Honor MagicPad 4 review: The premium Android tablet to beat?
Source: Expert Reviews English
Generally speaking, I like the Honor MagicPad 4. It’s a superbly put together all-round productivity tablet. It’s fast, the screen is beautiful and battery life is excellent. You even get a selection of reasonably useful software tools included – I particularly liked the ability to share files quickly with an iPhones, MacBooks and iPads. Is it a superior tablet than the iPad Pro? No, but it is a lot cheaper and the hardware is competitive. Is it better value than cheaper Android-based tablets such as the just-launched Xiaomi Pad 8? Not really, but it is a faster perfomer, it’s lighter and thinner, and it has a larger, more luxurious OLED display. In the end, however, it really depends what you want.

90% HONOR MagicPad 4 Review: The Android Tablet That Almost Replaced My Laptop
Source: Android Headlines English
The HONOR MagicPad 4 is one of the best Android tablets I’ve used in a long time, and honestly, it might be the best one available right now that isn’t made by Samsung or Apple. Think about what you’re getting here. A stunning OLED display that’s genuinely comfortable to stare at for hours, eight speakers that’ll make you question why you ever watched anything on a phone, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 that chews through everything you throw at it, and a PC Mode that actually makes you feel like you could leave your laptop at home. I nearly did. But if you can get your hands on one, the HONOR MagicPad 4 is absolutely worth considering. And that’s the real thing here.

90% Honor MagicPad 4 review: Anything but mid
Source: Tech Advisor English
The Honor MagicPad 4 is a very well-equipped Android tablet for the money being asked. For around the price of a Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ or an iPad Air, you’re getting a slick OLED display and near-flagship performance. It’s all wrapped up in one of the slimmest tablet bodies around. There are weaknesses relating to software, including a cluttered UI and excessive bloatware, and the optional accessories aren’t the best of their kind. Despite the downsides, the Honor MagicPad 4 is one of the finest Android tablets in its class.

100% Honor Magicpad 4 review: this astonishingly thin tablet fixes its predecessor’s biggest flaw
Source: Stuff TV English
Without that OLED screen, the MagicPad 4 would be a capable if modest generational upgrade, with the power you’d expect for the cash and a decent selection of productivity-minded accessories. Instead, Honor has equipped its tablet with a gorgeous panel that instantly makes it a great choice for telly addicts. The fact it’s so astonishingly thin is a bonus. I’d still like to see Honor do its own thing on the software front, rather than borrow so liberally from Apple’s Liquid Glass, and with no backlight or floating hinge the optional keyboard lacks a bit of the Xiaomi Pad 8’s wow factor. Android still wouldn’t be my first pick for a tablet meant to get serious work done, either. For sheer entertainment value, though, you’re getting a lot of bang for your buck here.

Honor MagicPad4 Review: The World’s Thinnest Tablet Nails Portability and Performance
Source: Yanko Design English
The HONOR MagicPad4 nails the parts of tablet life that actually matter day to day. It is exceptionally portable, the 12.3-inch 165Hz OLED is excellent for reading and media, and the eight-speaker setup helps it feel more immersive than most thin tablets. With the keyboard attached, PC Mode and floating windows make it feel closer to a small laptop than a typical Android tablet. The compromises are more about the physical keyboard experience and long-term ownership than the software itself. The keyboard is convenient and flexible, but the shallow key travel and slightly wobbly lap use remind you that it is still a tablet-first setup. Honor also does not say much about sustainability, and the promised two major OS updates and four years of security patches are not class-leading, so it is worth weighing if you plan to keep the tablet for many years.

Honor’s new MagicPad 4 is “the world’s slimmest tablet”, apparently
Source: Expert Reviews English
Honor has pulled the covers from its latest Android tablet, the MagicPad 4. Billed as “the world’s slimmest tablet”, the MagicPad 4 looks to be a significant improvement over its predecessor the MagicPad 3 – one of our favourite Android tablets of 2025. I’ll be in Barcelona covering Mobile World Congress (MWC) in a few days time, where I’ll hopefully have the chance to see this super-slim tablet in the flesh. In the meantime, however, here’s everything we know so far about the Honor MagicPad 4.

Honor:

In 2014 Huawei created the sub brand Honor and offers certain smartphone series under this name. Occasionally the products are also called Huawei Honor.

The market share of Honor products is manageable, but there are several reviews on Honor smartphones with average ratings (as of 2016).

Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

Qualcomm Adreno 735: Graphics chip for smartphones and tablets, integrated in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC.

Qualcomm Adreno 750: Graphics chip for smartphones and tablets that is integrated within the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Qualcomm claims that it is 25% faster than the Adreno 7340 in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and first benchmarks show that the GPU can beat the Apple A17 Pro iGPU.

Qualcomm Adreno 840: Integrated graphics unit in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC for smartphones with three slices at 1.2 GHz each. According to Qualcomm, 23% faster than the previous generation (Adreno 830).
