Honor Magic 9 series teaser confirms massive 11,000mAh battery

Xiaomi and iQOO aren't the only companies that are confirmed to launch new flagship phones in September 2026. Honor has been teasing its Magic 9 series for quite a while now, and with a recent set of teasers, the company has announced that its new smartphone lineup will launch towards the end of the month in China.
One of the recent teasers has also highlighted that the Honor Magic 9 series will have a phone with an 11,000mAh battery. The company didn't explicitly mention the model, but it's expected to be the Magic 9 Super Edition.
Of course, this isn't the first time a mainstream brand has packed such a large battery inside its phones. The recently released Note 17 Pro Max has a 10,000mAh battery, but that's a mid-range phone, while the Magic 9 Super Edition is set to be flagship-grade.
Specifically, it's expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the current-gen flagship SoC, and feature a 6.8-inch display with a 165Hz refresh rate. The camera setup will reportedly be flagship-level as well, with the main camera being a 200MP sensor that's paired with a 50MP telephoto and a 12MP ultrawide. It's also expected to have active cooling and 80W fast charging support (160W Anker Prime Charger curr. $115.99 on Amazon).
As for the regular Magic 9, it will reportedly feature the same SoC, but will have a 6.37-inch display and an 8,000mAh battery. It's expected to sport a 200MP primary, 200MP telephoto, and a 50MP ultrawide.
The Magic 9 Pro Max is set to be a proper next-gen flagship, with reports suggesting that it will be packing the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. It's also expected to come with a 6.8-inch display, 8,800mAh battery, and dual 200MP ARRI cameras.
Honor has already shared the designs of the upcoming phones through teasers and JD listings, and they showcased a redesigned rear compared to the phones in the Magic 8 series. More official details about the Magic 9 lineup are expected to emerge soon.
