While Huawei is facing potential bans from markets all across the world due to its alleged connections to the Chinese secret services, the company’s handhelds are still considered to be some of the best in China itself. Huawei is also making its own SoCs and the company also owns the Honor sub-brand, which is supposed to become the world’s forth largest smartphone OEM.
Speaking of Honor, the sub-brand is expected to launch the Honor 20 lineup soon. The Honor 20i is the first member to hit the market on April 17 and there are rumors saying that this model would be known as the Honor 20 Lite for markets outside of China. Huawei only teased the Honor 20i in a pic that shows a waterdrop notch and the launch date, but VMall, one of the official Huawei retailers, went ahead and leaked several official shots depicting the frontal, as well as rear views.
If the Honor 20i is indeed the Chinese-only version of the Honor 20 Lite model that was leaked a few days ago, the specs may include a Kirin 710 SoC coupled with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, plus a 6.21-inch FHD+ display with a 32 MP selfie, while the rear would get a 24 MP +8 MP + 2 MP triple-cam along with a circular fingerprint sensor. There should also be a 4,000 mAh battery and, as revealed by the leaked pictures, the model will come with blue-purple, pink-purple and black gradient color options.
