A wide range of products on IceWhale’s website is marked down by as much as 40 percent. The ZimaBoard 1 and 2, ZimaBlade, and ZimaCube don’t hit the full 40-percent discount, but several of the offers are still worth a look.
The ZimaBlade we tested is currently 20 percent off, and IceWhale is throwing in a free 60-watt power supply (12 V, 5 A) that normally sells for $18.90. The full 20-percent discount applies only to the ZimaBlade 3760, which regularly costs $69. The more expensive ZimaBlade 7700 (regular price: $119) gets just a 10-percent cut.
The same pattern applies to the ZimaCube creator NAS. Only the smaller of the two models is discounted; the higher-end version appears to be sold out or otherwise unavailable. The ZimaCube with an N100 processor, 8 or 16 GB of RAM, and a 256 GB SSD is marked down by 20 percent. Buyers also get a free carrying bag (normally $19.90) and the Special Edition front grille ($9.90).
The newer ZimaBoard 2 doesn’t get a price cut on its own, but the Firewall Kit featuring the ZimaBoard 2 ($299) is eligible for a coupon that takes $15 off. The same applies to the Master Kit, which includes two ZimaBoard 2 units, a power supply, an external GPU enclosure (minus the GPU), a NAS case, adapters, and cables.
The full 40-percent discount mainly shows up on expansion cards—such as the “PCIe to Dual Port 2.5G Ethernet Adapter (Realtek RTL8125B chipset),” normally priced at $39.90, which adds two extra Ethernet ports. Not all expansion cards get the maximum markdown, so browsing the site is still worthwhile to spot the best deals.
By the way, some Zima products are also available on Amazon. But the ZimaBlade goes for about $155, so ordering directly from the manufacturer is definitely the better choice.
