HTC One A9 officially presented

HTC has launched its new smartphone, the HTC One A9. The new handset comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box but the most commented feature is its visual resemblance to the iPhone 6s

The HTC One A9 is 7.26 mm (0.28 inches) thin and weighs 143 grams (5 oz). The front is fully covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and the onlu outstanding element is the Home button than also doubles as a fingerprint scanner.

HTC's new handset features a 5-inch, 1080p AMOLED display and is powered by Qualcomm's brand new, midrange Snapdragon 617 processor with eight Cortex-A53 cores, four of which are clocked at 1.5 GHz while the other half at 1.2 GHz. Graphics is taken care of by Adreno 405 GPU. HTC One A9 will be available with 2 GB or 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB or 32 GB of flash memory (partly taken by the OS). 

The main camera uses a 13 MP sensor and features optical image stabilization, manual mode, FullHD video and hyperlapse recording. The front camera with UltraPixel technology and an f/2.0 aperture allows taking 4 MP selfies. HTC One A9 comes equipped with a micro-SD card reader, 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, LTE and a 2150 mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0 technology.

The phone will be available in Carbon Gray, Opal Silver, Topaz Gold and Deep Garnet color versions, starting in November. For a limited time, the new handset will be sold at a promotional price of $399. Preorders are already open at HTC.com.
