Jack of all trades… The latest Envy x360 15-inch convertible is strikingly similar to the previous ones. And as before, it’s here to convince us that it can do it all: be a laptop, be a tablet, play some games, do some work, all for an affordable price… but is it really the ideal choice for these tasks?

HP’s revamp of the Spectre x360 15 went a different route than we expected, but we’re impressed by the results. This convertible will save most people cash by including the premium features they’ll use and leaving out the ones they won’t.

The HP Envy x360 m6 is a sexy, speedy 2-in-1 that thrives when it's doing tons of multitasking at the office and blasting tunes after-hours. Although the $899 configuration we tested is a bit pricey for a laptop with a mediocre screen and a mechanical hard drive, the $730 or $629 models offer good value for the money.

The HP ENVY x360 has some of the classic ultrabook issues we have seen previously. It has a sub-par battery life, an average keyboard and thermal management issues. However, the ENVY x360 does what HP advertises - deliver fast and robust computing experience while still managing to mix with your routine backpack items. The ENVY x360 is a gorgeous looking compact laptop that draws attention from onlookers -- this alone might persuade many to go for it. Coupled with the robust AMD performance that ensures you can do your routine computing tasks without any hiccup and the versatility of a convertible form factor, you probably can't get a better deal at Rs 72,990.

HP ENVY x360 is a pretty good notebook and it's not just me, but some of the TechNave writers also like it for good reason. Exquisite and sleek design, flexible modes, good for media content work, great battery life and good for entertainment in terms of video playbacks. Despite the lack of a HDMI port, not being very gaming friendly and being unable to utilize the HP Active Pen buttons, the overall experience is still well worth considering from a starting price of RM3347.

The HP ENVY x360 puts form ahead of function. While it scores top marks for looks and even performance, it misses the memo on usability and comfort.

It’s hard to make a conclusion based on what we got. The notebook itself is well built, the aluminum chassis can rival some more expensive devices. It’s thin and light which sometimes can lead to overheating, however, it this case we can’t say for sure because we have an early sample.

On a visual level, the HP Envy x360 rarely misses a beat. Despite the difference in size between it and its 15-inch cousin, it’s no less immaculate in its presentation. Like that device, every corner of the Envy x360 13 feels like it's dripping with premium flourish. Those who want that eye-catching consumer tech experience, this one’s for you.

All up, the Envy x360 13 is a highly impressive device, particularly when you factor in the price. I’m actually a little amazed that for just $700 you can this great metal chassis with a 360-degree hinge, an acceptable 1080p touch display with a pen in the box, and most importantly, the power of the Ryzen 5 2500U complemented by 8GB of RAM and 256GB of fast SSD storage.

Our first impressions of the new Envy 13 and Envy x360 13 notebooks are very good. These new notebooks from HP feel solidly put together, and despite their more accessible price tags, feel like premium products. In fact, I can’t help but wonder if it is worth coughing up the extra money for HP’s higher-end Spectre and Spectre x360 notebooks. Sure, the Spectre looks sleeker and sexier, but these new Envy notebooks are not shabby at all and come with respectable specifications.

The HP Envy x360 is a slim and stylish convertible with a good display and speedy Windows performance. Gaming isn't its strong suit, but this device wasn't meant for that kind of heavy use. Apart from that, the AMD CPU is a capable multitasker and the fast SSD ensures quick loading times for programs. This laptop can be used as a tablet, but like most Windows convertibles, the experience is far from ideal and won't replace your iPad anytime soon. Battery life was disappointing but our biggest issue is the fact that this device runs warm nearly all the time, and the constant drone from the fan can be distracting, if not annoying.

With a price of Php 63,990, HP’s Envy x360 is a compelling option for people looking for a fairly powerful 2-in-1 that has discrete graphics. If you’re willing to overlook the Envy x360’s mediocre battery life, then this particular ultraportable is a great choice for mobile warriors looking for a powerful machine for a reasonable price.

It’s been a while since I last saw a laptop powered by a Ryzen chipset and I must say that the HP Envy x360 stands out. Besides its core, the design looks classy and robust for a convertible laptop–not to mention that it has a touchscreen with an included pen in the set.
