Gothic Remake: The limited Collector's Edition can now be pre-ordered

Published by Piranha Bites in 2001, Gothic is considered by many to be the first true open-world RPG. THQ Nordic is remaking the game in collaboration with the developers from Alkimia Interactive. The Gothic remake is being developed in Unreal Engine 5 and will therefore receive a major visual upgrade. The map will also be 15 percent larger.

While fans are still waiting for the release date to be announced, THQ Nordic has released the Collector's Edition for pre-order. The main content is a sleeper mask (34 x 24 centimeters) that Gothic fans can hang on their wall. There is also a notebook with a sleeper symbol and a wristband with Gothic lettering - both made of genuine leather. The game (DVD and download code) and the original soundtrack are of course also included. However, the game is apparently supplied in a normal plastic case and not in a stylish steelbook. This is particularly unfortunate considering the price of around $ 200.

The Collector's Edition is available directly from THQ Nordic for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The offer is limited to 7,500 units. The Nintendo Switch is grayed out on the THQ Nordic website, which could indicate that the remake could also be coming to the Nintendo console. However, there is no official information on this.
