While hands-on pictures of the Pixel Watch have finally surfaced, Google is yet to confirm the smartwatch's existence officially. However, Android Authority has discovered a corresponding trademark for the Pixel Watch with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), filed on April 19, 2022. Unsurprisingly, Google's trademark covers smartwatches and is described as follows:
PIXEL WATCH™ trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of smartwatches; cases adapted for holding smartwatches; wearable computers in the nature of smartwatches; smartwatch straps; smartwatch bands.

Undoubtedly, Google's first smartwatch will go by the name that leakers have been referring to over the last few months. Incidentally, it appears that the next-generation version of Google Assistant has been finalised. Last seen in a leak from the Wear OS Smartphone Companion app, Samsung mentioned the new Google Assistant in February.
At the time, Samsung remarked that Google Assistant would be ready for the Galaxy Watch4 series 'in the coming months'. Neither Google nor Samsung has mentioned the Google Assistant app since, but the latter's Spanish subsidiary has included it in a recent Galaxy Watch4 series advert.
Embedded below, the advert shows that the Galaxy Watch4 series will support 'Hey Google' functionality, a feature that continues to be a thorn in Wear OS 2's side. Seemingly, Google will unveil vanilla Wear OS 3, the Pixel Watch and a new version of Google Assistant for Wear OS next month at Google I/O 2022.
