MagyarGoogle Pixel smartphones receive over 30 changes with latest beta build
Google has published another Android 14 QPR1 Beta build, just over a fortnight after delivering Beta 2.1. This time, the company has released Beta 2.2, which contains more changes than its build number may suggest. According to a forum post, Google has bundled 34 changes from QPR1 Beta 2.1, including one dedicated to addressing a pink text issue that some Pixel 8 Pro units experienced on always-on display (AOD) mode.
Nonetheless, Android 14 QPR1 Beta 2.2 is approximately a 40 MB over-the-air (OTA) download. In the same post, Google explains that all Pixel devices running Beta 2.1 should receive Beta 2.2 within the next few days. Alternatively, the company has provided factory images, should you prefer to start from scratch.
For reference, Google has also integrated October 2023 security patches, with no November equivalents being available at the time of writing. Currently, Android 14 QPR1 appears on track for a stable release next month across Google's Pixel product stack, starting with the Pixel 5a. With that being said, 9to5Google expects Google to share a Beta 3 public beta before finalising Android 14 QPR1 for all eligible smartphones. - Fixed an issue that caused some text to display in the wrong colors when always-on display features were enabled.
- Fixed an issue that caused some UI elements to render incorrectly when the device font scale was increased.

- Fixed an issue that caused the picture-in-picture window to stop displaying with rounded corners after locking and unlocking the device.
