Thanks to the integration of AI-enabled editing options, Google Photos can do a lot to your images to make them look pretty much exactly how you want them to. There are features like Magic Eraser and Magic Editor, and now, a new feature has been added: Quick Edit.
At the core, Quick Edit aims to make it easier for you to quickly adjust or enhance a picture before sharing it. To be specific, you can use it to quickly crop, mirror, or rotate the image before sharing. While making these adjustments, you get the same interface as cropping images from the Google Photos editor. As for the enhancement part, it requires you to tap the share button to activate.
Once the option pops up, Google Photos will use AI-enhanced techniques to tune the contrast, color, and other aspects of the image to make it look better. After you're done with the adjustment and enhancement part, you can share the edited picture through any preferred app.
It's worth noting that this feature isn't available to all users at the moment. As reported by Android Authority, it's a server-side update, meaning that it could take a while to be available to all. Another notable aspect is that Android Authority's tipster was able to try Quick Edit out from his Pixel 6 Pro (128 GB 9 Pro XL curr. $849 on Amazon) with the Google Photos app running on version 7.10.0.
