Gazelle Esprit C7 HMS new e-bike with 120 km range launches
The Gazelle Esprit C7 HMS e-bike has arrived. The mid-mounted Shimano E5000 motor weighs just 2.5 kg (~5.5 lbs), delivers 40 Nm of torque, and has a top speed of 15.5 mph (~25 kph). You can choose from Eco, Standard and High power modes, and the e-bike has a 7-speed Shimano Nexus gear system.
The Esprit C7 HMS’s 418 Wh lithium-ion battery allows you to travel for up to 120 km (~75 miles) on a single charge. An optional 504 Wh power pack upgrade adds a further 15 km (~9 miles) to your range. The battery can be locked in place to prevent theft but is easily removable with the key for recharging. A Shimano SC-E5000 bike computer with a display shows information such as your remaining battery level and current speed. You can also use the built-in buttons to toggle between power modes. A front fork helps to make your ride more comfortable, alongside Schwalbe Fat Frank tires and 160 mm Shimano hydraulic disc brakes to provide shorter stopping distances in any weather.
There are multiple ways to transport luggage on the bike thanks to a MIK HD system which allows you to attach a bag, basket or other accessory. Plus, an integrated LED headlight and rear light help you to see and be seen in darker conditions. The bike can have an aluminum stepover or step-through frame, available in Moss Green or Space Anthracite (gray), with five sizes. On average, the bike weighs 23.4 kg (~51.6 lbs). You can now buy the Gazelle Esprit C7 HMS e-bike in the UK for £2,149 and in the EU for €2,399. It is unclear whether or when the new model could arrive in the US or other markets.
