Garmin has released software version 15.05 for the Venu 3, Venu 3s and vivoactive 5 smartwatches. This stable update marks the end of the 15.xx testing cycle, which began in June 2025.
In a post on the Garmin forum, a representative for the company notes that it has pushed software version 15.05 to 50% of users of the Venu 3 series and vivoactive 5 smartwatches. However, it did not indicate when the rollout would be complete.
The software version 15.05 change log indicates that Garmin has updated the recently added Breathing Variations and Device Passcode features. However, it did not explain what had changed. Alongside these tweaks, the company has tackled several issues. Problems with breathwork activity audio and downloaded golf courses have been resolved, as has a bug causing the golf auto-shot feature to stop working. There is a fix for an issue that could cause the number of logged wheelchair pushes to increase during swimming workouts. Plus, the Easycard icon, linked to Garmin Pay contactless payments, is no longer missing for some users.
There are also said to be additional unnamed updates for the Venu 3, Venu 3s and vivoactive 5 smartwatches (curr. $216.33 at Amazon). Plus, there is an update for GCM Translations to version 2.28. You can manually check for the Garmin software version 15.05 update by going to the Menu > Settings > System > Software Update
